A fuel tank and a method for producing a fuel tank for a motor vehicle. The fuel tank is designed as a blow-molded hollow plastic member, into the interior of which a functional component support is introduced. The support, to which functional components, such as a fuel pump, a level indicator or valves can be secured, includes at least one supporting leg to be supported on an inner face of the hollow plastic member delimiting the interior thereof. The supporting leg of the functional component support is designed to include a connection point to which a functional component can be connected.

Pleated tank vent

The technology disclosed herein relates to a tank vent having a housing and a pleated, vapor-permeable microporous membrane. The housing defines a first vapor passageway configured for direct communication with a tank interior and a second vapor passageway configured for direct communication with the atmosphere. The housing also defines a tank mounting surface is mountable to a tank housing and a media mounting surface. The microporous membrane is sealed to the media mounting surface and defines a tubular structure such that the first vapor passageway and the second vapor passageway are in communication through the microporous membrane. Other embodiments including methods are also disclosed.

Fuel tank device

A fuel tank apparatus for a motor vehicle that includes a fuel tank and a filling module configured for connection to the fuel tank. The filling module includes a fuel accumulator and a filler neck configured for fluidic connection to the fuel accumulator in such a way that permits filling to occur place via the filler neck exclusively into the fuel accumulator.

Method for attaching filler pipe and filler pipe attachment structure

Provided is a method that is for attaching a filler pipe. The method for attaching a filler pipe attaches a filler pipe to the aperture of a fuel tank with an attachment member therebetween, and is characterized by containing: a fitting step for fitting the tubular attachment member to the inside of the aperture of the filler pipe; a contact step for contacting, to the surface at the periphery of the aperture of the fuel tank, a first flange protruding outwards in the radial direction from the outer peripheral surface of the attachment member, and a second flange protruding outwards in the radial direction from the outer peripheral surface of the filler pipe; and a welding step for welding the first flange and second flange to the surface.
