Method for producing a container from thermoplastic material and plastic container produced according to said method
The invention relates to a method for producing a tank from thermoplastic material, comprising the following method steps: extruding or providing a hose-like parison composed of plasticized thermoplastic material, and dividing and spreading the parison into two areal extrudate webs, or extruding or providing two parisons in web form, laying-in and molding the parisons in recesses of a multi-part blow-molding tool using differential pressure, wherein the recesses of the blow-molding tool delimit a mold cavity, punching out, or cutting out in a circular shape, at least one opening in at least one shell-like intermediate product, wherein the opening is produced by way of a punching or cutting tool which penetrates through a wall of one of the shell-like intermediate products, wherein in a second separate method step, a first attachment element of a line connection or of a line arrangement is welded, at the mold cavity side, to the wall of the shell-like intermediate product, in such a way that an encircling weld collar of the first attachment element sealingly surrounds the opening, joining the shell-like intermediate products to form a tank, and removing the tank from the blow-molding tool, and connecting a second attachment element, which is complementary to the first attachment element in the context of a plug-type connection, to the first attachment element, wherein the plug-type connection is produced within the contour of the tank as defined by the tank wall.
CONDUIT MOUNTING DEVICE
A device for mounting a conduit of a vapor canister on a vehicle includes a base having a first side and an opposing second side. The base includes fastener openings for receiving fasteners to attach the base to a frame. A connector extends from the first side of the base between the fastener openings for connecting the device to a conduit of a vapor canister. A pipe having an inlet extends from the second side of the base and forms an air passage from the inlet to the connector. The device may also include supports on the second side of the base for supporting the device on frame members with rounded or flat surfaces. The conduit mounting device can be installed by attaching the device on a frame member without the need for tools.
Fuel vapor recovering structure
A fuel vapor recovering structure for a vehicle, the vehicle having a side member extending in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and a cross member extending along a vehicle width direction, includes: a canister attached to the side member for absorbing a fuel evaporation gas in a fuel tank of the vehicle; and an atmosphere communicating pipe having a first end connected to the canister, and a second end opened to the atmosphere and inserted in the cross member.
FUEL STORAGE ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE
A fuel storage assembly for a vehicle includes a fuel tank defining a fuel chamber, a fuel pump module and a vapor pressure detection system. The fuel pump module includes a flange engaged to the fuel tank and a fuel pump assembly supported by the flange and disposed in the fuel chamber. The vapor pressure detection system includes a vapor pressure sensor attached to the flange, a vapor pressure inlet device disposed in the fuel chamber, and a conduit communicating between the vapor pressure inlet device and the vapor pressure sensor.
FUEL VENT CONNECTOR, VENTING SYSTEM HAVING FUEL VENT CONNECTOR, AND METHOD
A fuel vent connector includes a longitudinal axis and a flow path a long the longitudinal axis. The connector further includes a first portion pivotally supporting a plurality of fingers, each finger amongst the plurality of fingers having a latching head biased radially outwardly and configured to latch within a fuel vent opening. The connector further includes a second portion biased longitudinally away from the first portion with respect to the longitudinal axis. The flow path extends through the first and second portions, and longitudinal movement of the second portion towards the first portion moves the fingers radially inward.
Motor vehicle operating fluid container made of thermoplastic
A motor vehicle operating fluid container is made of thermoplastic. The container is composed of two shells forming a substantially closed hollow body. A first shell forms an upper base of the container, and a second shell forms a lower base of the container. The container includes at least one line which is designed as an integral part of a container wall over at least one sub-length, where the line is designed as a channel which runs in the container wall over said sub-length. The channel has an open trough-shaped profiled cross-section which forms a part of the line cross-section, and the channel is closed by at least one cover which complements the trough-shaped profiled cross-section so as to form a closed cross-section.
Fuel tank of thermoplastic material and method for the production thereof
A fuel tank of thermoplastic material for motor vehicles comprising at least one line of thermoplastic material, which extends between at least two fixed connection points on the tank wall inside the tank, the fuel tank being distinguished by the fact that the line is supported at at least one location or over at least one portion between its connection points against the force of the weight acting in the fitted position to prevent sagging and that the line is formed and/or routed and/or suspended such that an increase in the length of the line brings about a compensating movement of the line transversely to the direction of the force of the weight.
Method and valve for venting a fuel tank
A valve including: a chamber configured to extend at least partly into a tank and to be connected via an upper venting aperture to a venting circuit; and a shut-off point defining a single maximum filling level within the tank, located away from the chamber, the shut-off point being in fluid communication with the chamber via a conduit, wherein the conduit includes a venting tube.
Fuel supply system
A fuel supply system includes a filler neck that is provided in a filler neck body formed in a tubular shape and has a pipe connection structure. A first member is formed separately from the filler neck. A second member is formed separately from the filler neck to be different from the first member. The first member and the second member are engaged with each other. At least one of the first member and the second member includes a protective portion that is configured to cover at least part of the pipe connection structure in a state that the first member and the second member are engaged with each other and positions of the first member and the second member are fixed relative to the filler neck. This configuration suppresses damage of the pipe connection structure that is connected with the filler neck in the fuel supply system.
Tank made of resin
A tank made of resin capable of enhancing freedom of a tank shape and improving an ease of installation in a vehicle body. The tank made of resin is provided with a tubular projection projecting to an inside and an outside of a wall surface of a tank body that has a barrier layer, and an end edge part of the barrier layer is molded integrally with an outer peripheral resin part of the tubular projection.
