OFF-ROAD VEHICLE
A vehicle shown herein is a side by side utility vehicle having frame configured to effectively transfer various loads throughout the frame as whole. The vehicle may further or alternatively include a routing tray configured to retain various fluid lines of the vehicle, a transmission including a passive duct acoustical attenuation device, a door seal configured to allow the frame to contact the seal at an angle, a modular door actuating mechanism, and/or a modular skid plate.
Method for detecting the trapping or twisting of a discharge pipe
Disclosed is a method for detecting pinching or twisting of a discharge pipe connecting a fuel tank and an absorbent filter of an evaporation system of a motor vehicle. The method includes the steps, with the valve being initially in its closed position, of moving the valve by the gases circulating in the absorbent filter, of measuring, in the absence of control of the solenoid, the voltage generated at the terminals of the solenoid by the movement of the valve, and of detecting pinching or twisting of the discharge pipe when the voltage measured is between a first predetermined threshold and a second predetermined threshold.
MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATING FLUID CONTAINER MADE OF THERMOPLASTIC
A motor vehicle operating fluid container is made of thermoplastic. The container is composed of two shells forming a substantially closed hollow body. A first shell forms an upper base of the container, and a second shell forms a lower base of the container. The container includes at least one line which is designed as an integral part of a container wall over at least one sub-length, where the line is designed as a channel which runs in the container wall over said sub-length. The channel has an open trough-shaped profiled cross-section which forms a part of the line cross-section, and the channel is closed by at least one cover which complements the trough-shaped profiled cross-section so as to form a closed cross-section.
PLEATED TANK VENT
The technology disclosed herein relates to a tank vent having a housing and a pleated, vapor-permeable microporous membrane. The housing defines a first vapor passageway configured for direct communication with a tank interior and a second vapor passageway configured for direct communication with the atmosphere. The housing also defines a tank mounting surface is mountable to a tank housing and a media mounting surface. The microporous membrane is sealed to the media mounting surface and defines a tubular structure such that the first vapor passageway and the second vapor passageway are in communication through the microporous membrane. Other embodiments including methods are also disclosed.
FUEL TANK
A fuel tank includes a tank main body and a fuel filler neck. A breather hole is provided in an inner surface of the fuel filler neck. A connecting pipe opens to the inside of the fuel filler neck though the breather hole and extends from the fuel filler neck in the radial direction. The inside of the fuel filler neck includes a first vapor-liquid separation chamber therein that is partitioned from the tank main body and connected to the breather hole. Liquid fuel entering the breather channel is reduced.
Protection of vehicle fluid conduits
Vehicle fluid conduit systems and protectors for such systems are presented. Fluid conduit systems can include a fuel fill system having a fuel filler tube, a re-circulation tube, and a protector. In some embodiments, the protector can include a protector bracket and a bolting plate that extend around the fuel filler tube and re-circulation tube. The protector can include a strap. The strap can extend between the fuel filler tube and re-circulation tube between two or more protector attachment locations.
