FUNNEL INSERT FOR A FILLER TUBE OF A FUEL TANK
A funnel insert for a filler tube of a fuel tank for a motor vehicle, the funnel insert being arranged in an end region of the filler tube intended to receive a fuel nozzle, and there being a space between the outside of the funnel insert and the inside of the filler tube, in which space a fluid barrier is arranged. According to the invention, the fluid barrier is in the form of a sealing body arranged on the outer circumference of the funnel insert, which sealing body comprises a sealing lip resting on the inside of the filler tube in portions or circumferentially, and consists of a material having a higher flexibility than the material of the funnel insert.
OPENING-CLOSING DEVICE FOR FUEL SUPPLY PASSAGE
An opening-closing device for a fuel supply passage includes a tubular passage forming portion having a fuel inlet port, a flap having an engagement portion, and an opening-closing actuating member. The opening-closing actuating member includes a main body and movable portions coupled to the main body. Each movable portion includes a proximal portion, an arm extending in the circumferential direction from the proximal portion, a nozzle detecting portion protruding inward in the radial direction from the arm, and an engaging portion. When the nozzle detecting portions do not receive a pushing force, the engaging portions are engaged with the engagement portion to lock the flap in a closing state in which the flap closes the fuel inlet port. When the nozzle detecting portions receive the pushing force, the engaging portions are disengaged outward in the radial direction from the engagement portion to unlock the flap.
FILLER PIPE AND VEHICLE FUEL FILLER PORT STRUCTURE
A retainer that holds a fuel nozzle holder is mounted to a filler pipe. The retainer includes: a first attaching portion mounted at the filler pipe; an opening located at a first end of the retainer, which is closer to a center of the filler pipe than a second end; and a holding portion having engaging holes. The fuel nozzle holder includes: a second attaching portion having a cylindrical shape and including two engaging pieces engaged in the engaging holes and located on opposite sides in a circumference of the second attaching portion. The engaging pieces are each surrounded by a groove at three sides and joined to the second attaching portion on one, and the two engaging pieces are different from each other in terms of a maximum value of a length in a circumferential direction of the second attaching portion.
Fuel filler pipe
A tubular fuel filler pipe body is a blow molded body and is adapted to connect to a fuel tank at one end thereof. The fuel filler pipe body includes in an outer circumferential surface of another end side thereof an annular recessed groove. The fuel filler pipe body includes an opening of the other end thereof to which a nozzle guide is mounted. The nozzle guide includes on an one end side thereof an annular covering portion configured to cover annularly the outer circumferential surface of the other end side of the fuel filler pipe body. An annular rubber sealing member configured to seal between an inner circumferential surface of the annular recessed groove and an inner circumferential surface of the annular covering portion fits with the annular recessed groove.
Capless closure assembly for fuel-tank filler pipe
A capless filler pipe closure is provided for a tank filler pipe. The capless closure permits a fuel pump nozzle to be inserted into the tank filler pipe without first removing a fuel cap from the outer end of the tank filler pipe.
MULTI-USE FUEL FILLER TUBE
A fuel tube filler neck includes a first thread is formed on an inner surface and a second thread formed on an outer surface. The first thread, second thread, and tube may be co-molded of thermoplastic (e.g., nylon) and the first and second thread may overlap one another. The outer surface includes a cylindrical portion and a recessed portion, the second thread being formed on the recessed portion. Attachment structures are secured to the fuel tube for mounting the fuel tube to a fuel tank. A first type of fuel cap is engaged with the first thread and a second type of fuel cap is engaged with the second thread. Vehicles with different types of fuel caps may be shipped to different geographic regions.
HOLDING ASSEMBLY FOR AN AUTOMOTIVE CHARGING SYSTEM
A holding assembly for holding an electrical charging device includes: a base plate having an upper side and at least one latching hook which extends from the upper side of the base plate and which latches with a latching contour of the charging device; and a securing frame which is attached to the base plate so as to be movable between a first position and a second position and clamps the latching hook in an open state in the first position and to secure the latching hook in a closed state in the second position.
FUEL TANK DEVICE
A fuel tank device for a vehicle that includes a plastic fuel tank having a conductive outer layer, a plastic filler pipe for filling the fuel tank, at least one metallic component, and an electrical connector to connect the metallic component to the conductive outer layer of the filler pipe. The metallic component is grounded via the electrical connector and the conductive outer layer of the filler pipe.
Fully-integrated, fluid flow-control module designed for installation within an ISO filler neck of a top-fill def tank
A fully-integrated flow-control module is designed to fit within a filler neck of a DEF tank that conforms to ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Standard 22241-4:2009(E). The flow-control module includes a breather cap that locks the flow-control module within the mouth of the ISO filler neck. A spring-biased valve piston, which is controlled by a bleed path within a bleed and float body, opens and closes to control fluid flow into the DEF tank. A fluid level float is mounted on a control rod. The control rod and a bleed valve poppet are rigidly secured to a connector beam. When fluid levels in the tank raise the float, the bleed valve poppet seals a bleed circuit escape port, thereby enabling the valve piston to close, increase fluid pressure at the nozzle, and cause the nozzle to shut off.
