A vehicle includes an electrical device in which a high-voltage part is disposed within a case, and a fuel tank. The high-voltage part is disposed near a first side end of the case in a vehicle width direction. The fuel tank has a first end portion in the vehicle width direction and a second end portion opposite to the first end portion. When a collision load equal to or greater than a predetermined value is applied to the fuel tank from the outside in a vehicle front-rear direction, the fuel tank is configured to horizontally rotated about the first end portion of the fuel tank, and the second end portion of the fuel tank is configured to contact the second side end of the electrical device.

Tank assembly for a motor vehicle

A tank assembly for a motor vehicle includes an axially extending compressed gas tank having a middle portion and axially terminal end portions, and a tank support configured to fasten the compressed gas tank to a vehicle body. The tank assembly has a guard device that catches the compressed gas tank in the event the tank and/or support become partially or fully detached from the vehicle. A guard support is configured to secure the guard device to the vehicle body. A retaining element forms an axial stop for a first end portion, and at least one pliable tension element, which extends axially and connects the retaining element to the guard support in a tension-transmitting manner.

Vehicle fuel tank for improved crashworthiness

A fuel tank in a vehicle. The fuel tank includes a protective outer shell, an inner shell and a crush sleeve. The protective outer shell defines an outer tank. The inner shell defines an inner tank which holds fuel. The inner shell is housed in the outer shell and is isolated from the outer shell by a space. The crush sleeve is provided in the space between the outer shell and the inner shell. The crush sleeve supports the inner shell and maintains the inner shell in position relative to the outer shell. Wherein during an impact to the vehicle, the force of the impact causes the outer shell and the crush sleeve to deform and the inner shell to move relative to the outer shell.

FUEL CELL SYSTEM AND UNDER HOOD STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE

Provided is a fuel cell system which includes a fuel cell that generates electric power by electrochemical reaction between hydrogen gas and oxidizing gas, and a fuel cell case that houses the fuel cell. A more fragile portion compared to the rest of the fuel cell case in terms of strength is provided in the fuel cell case along an outline of a given shape so that a depressurizing opening having the given shape is formed when internal pressure of the fuel cell case becomes higher than given pressure.

A VEHICLE STRUCTURE FOR IMPACT PROTECTION AND A VEHICLE COMPRISING A VEHICLE STRUCTURE FOR IMPACT PROTECTION

A vehicle structure for impact protection, wherein the vehicle structure is attachable to a main body of a vehicle having a front end and a rear end, wherein the vehicle structure comprises a plurality of sections having a longitudinal extension extending in a longitudinal direction; and a front cover comprising a base. The section of the plurality of sections forms one or more longitudinal compartments. The sections of the plurality of sections are arranged beside one another so as to form a cellular structure. The base of the front cover is configured to be positioned between the front end of the vehicle and the plurality of sections. The front cover covers the plurality of sections and is configured to distribute impact energy to the plurality of sections. A vehicle comprising such a vehicle structure.

A fuel tank system which has a revised mounting system and a revised location for the fuel system and fuel tanks to improve crashworthiness of the vehicle by reducing the occurrence of tank failure, fuel spillage, fire and/or explosion during and after a collision or similar event, while still providing a sufficient range for the vehicle. The fuel tanks are protected from damage from the side, bottom and between the tanks. The fuel tank mounting system also allows the energy associated with an event to be managed, such as by allowing the fuel tanks to be pushed or moved downwardly and/or laterally by the energy of the impact of a collision or similar event to a position in which the fuel tank is either out of the path of the impact or protected by the chassis or frame of the vehicle.

Device for elastic suspension of an assembly of reservoirs on the underbody of a motor vehicle

The invention relates to a device for elastic suspension of an assembly of reservoirs (50, 60) on the underbody of a motor vehicle. The reservoirs (50, 60) are mounted substantially in parallel and have a substantially cylindrical general shape terminated by two shaped end pieces (50A, 50B; 60A, 60B). Said novel suspension device comprises two flanges (10, 11), which fit closely to the shaped end pieces (50A, 50B; 60A, 60B) of the reservoirs (50, 60) and are linked together by tie rods (30) gripping said reservoirs (50, 60), and a plurality of arms (40A, 40B, 40C, 40D) which link the flanges (10, 11) to a plurality of elastic connection points of the suspension device on the vehicle body.

TRUCK WITH A VESSEL MOUNT STRUCTURE FOR SUSPENDING A PRESSURIZED FUEL TANK

A truck comprises a vessel mount structure providing at least one neck mount that is mounted to an axial end of an elongated pressure vessel. The vessel mount structure comprises a support arm that is coupled to the or each neck mount by a coupling arrangement that is deformable in a lateral direction for guiding a movement of the respective neck mount relative to the support arm along a predefined trajectory. An end stop is provided on the chassis and spaced from the elongated pressure vessel. In case of an impact on the elongated pressure vessel, the coupling arrangement guides the elongated pressure vessel along the predefined trajectory towards the end stop, for thereby reducing a peak force on the neck mounts.
