FOLDING AND RECLINING REAR SEAT SYSTEM

A reclining seat includes a seat base coupled to a support surface. The seat base is moveable between extended and retracted positions as supported on a support roller by a guide rail disposed on an underside of the seat base. The guide rail includes a first support surface disposed at a first height, and a second support surface is disposed at a second height that is greater than the first height of the first support surface with a ramped portion disposed therebetween. The seat base is supported at the first support surface in the retracted position, and supported at the second support surface in the extended position. A seatback is coupled to a rear wall and is operable between upright and reclined positions. In the reclined position, the seatback is moved downward and away from the rear wall.

SEAT ADJUSTMENT APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE

A seat adjustment apparatus for a vehicle includes a plurality of connection frames provided along two opposite sides of a seat frame and two opposite sides of a back frame and configured to move forward or rearward depending on a folding direction of the back frame, guide parts provided at middle points of the plurality of connection frames and configured to be moved upward or downward by forward or rearward movements of the connection frames, and a seat cushion pipe provided inside the two connection frames and configured such that front ends of the seat cushion pipe are connected to the guide parts, and a position of a rear end of the seat cushion pipe is adjusted upward or downward by upward or downward movements of the guide parts.

An integrated folding seat and movable backrest includes a mounting frame for all of the elements of the assembly. A vertically movable backrest frame is slideably attached to the mounting frame and coupled to a pivot down seat frame by pivot arms. The pivot arms include a curved upper arm extending between the mounting frame and the seat frame, a lower arm extending between the mounting frame and the seat frame, and a lift arm having one end pivotally coupled to the lower arm at a position intermediate the ends of the lower arm, and an opposite end coupled to the backrest frame.

Vehicle seat

A vehicle seat including: a tilt down mechanism configured to sink down a seat cushion in conjunction with forward tilting down movement of a seat back; and a link member coupled between the seat back and the seat cushion, wherein the link member is coupled to be slidable relative to either of the seat back and the seat cushion so that, when the seat back is moved within a region in which the seat back is raised from a forward tilted down position, the link member transmits power from the seat back to the seat cushion to pull up the seat cushion, and when the seat back is tilted within an adjustment region of a backrest angle of the seat back, the link member releases the transmission of the power from the seat back to the seat cushion.

Vehicle seat

A vehicle seat including: a tilt down mechanism configured to sink down a seat cushion in conjunction with forward tilting down movement of a seat back, wherein the tilt down mechanism couples a rear part of the seat cushion to a base on a floor by a rotary shaft, couples a front part of the seat cushion to the base via a front link, and further includes a power transmission member that couples the front link and the seat back, and wherein the power transmission member is configured by a link member of a rigid body and is configured to, when the seat back is raised from a forward tilted down position, transmit the movement of the seat back to the front link to raise the front link to thus pull up the seat cushion from a downward sunk position.

Vehicle seat, particularly a motor vehicle seat

A vehicle seat, particularly a motor vehicle seat, has a seat cushion and a backrest, and a seat mechanism connecting the seat cushion and/or the backrest to at least one seat rail pair. The seat rail pair has two seat rails that can be displaced relatively to one another and which can be locked together by a rail locking mechanism. The vehicle seat can be shifted by the seat mechanism from a use position to a non-use position. A coupler couples the seat mechanism and the seat locking mechanism together in such a way that a least one seat rail pair is locked in the use position and the non-use position of the vehicle seat and is unlocked in an intermediate position of the vehicle seat located between the use position and the non-use position.

CONVERTIBLE SEAT ASSEMBLY

A convertible seat assembly is operable to transition between a collapsed position and an expanded position. The convertible seat assembly includes a fixed seat and a sliding seat. The sliding seat may be independently moveable with respect to the fixed seat. The convertible seat assembly may be coupled to a seat belt assembly, which includes a first seat belt operable to releasably couple to the fixed seat and a second seat belt operable to releasably couple to the sliding seat.

Vehicle seating arrangements

A seating arrangement for a vehicle is shown to include a plurality of seats, including at least two front seats, at least two rear seats, and a rear jump seat positioned intermediate the two rear seats. The jump seat comprises a seat back which is positioned rearwardly of the rear seats, and the rear seats are movable laterally between a first position where the rear seats are proximate to each other and generally covering the seat back of the jump seat, and a second position where the rear seats are spaced apart from each other and the seat back of the jump seat is exposed. The arrangement may also include rear seats which are rotatable relative to the seat backs to provide a storage surface.
