Loose layered build components and vehicle front end assembly strategy
A method of assembling vehicle front end components to a vehicle front end includes the steps of attaching at least one non-skin component to the body, supporting a first skin component using at least one of the at least one non-skin component such that the first skin component is moveable relative the at least one non-skin component, joining a second skin component to the first skin component such that the first skin component and the second skin component are fixed relative one another and moveable relative the at least one non-skin component, and restricting movement of the second skin component relative the at least one non-skin component.
LED fog lamp
A fog lamp for use in an automobile includes a plurality of reflectors each sharing a common focus point, a light emitting diode array positioned at the common focus point, and a circular, non-optic window. The window fits through a standard-sized opening in an automobile fascia substantially two inches in diameter. The reflectors include a central reflector, a pair of lateral reflectors surrounding the central reflector and angled toward a center axis of the fog lamp, and a pair of converging reflectors surrounding the lateral reflectors and angled more sharply toward the center axis of the fog lamp. The central reflector and lateral reflectors produce beams of reflected light through the outer circumference of the window. The converging reflectors produce beams of reflected light converging at a secondary focus point within the fog lamp and transmitting through the window.

Method for mounting a front-end module and a front headlamp on a body of a passenger car and holding arrangement for holding a front headlamp on a front-end module
A method is provided for mounting a front-end module and at least one front headlamp on a body of a passenger car, including the steps of: holding the front headlamp in at least one pre-mounting position on the front-end module via a holding device, by which the front headlamp is held on the front-end module so as to be movable relative to the latter; arranging the front-end module on the body together with the front headlamp held thereon via the holding device so as to be movable relative to the front-end module, wherein the front-end module and therewith also the front headlamp are moved relative to the body; and fixing the front headlamp in a final mounted position.
Headlamp transport device
A motor vehicle front end having one, preferably two, headlamps, wherein the headlamp is intended and constructed so as to be fastened in an assembly position onto the motor vehicle, in particular onto the motor vehicle front end, and wherein the headlamp is fastened by means of a transport holder on the front end in a transport position, the transport position being different from the assembly position. The transport position is offset frontward and/or downward relative to the assembly position, in order to provide a front end, motor vehicle, and method that make it possible to create motor vehicle designs with which pre-assembly of the headlamps in the assembly position thereof is not possible, without thereby incurring additional logistical complexity on the assembly lines for the vehicle, or wherein this additional complexity is at least largely avoided.

Illumination device for a vehicle, and method of attachment for the illumination device
An illumination device for vehicles, having a housing and having a plurality of holder devices for attaching the housing to a housing support and for aligning the housing with respect to a longitudinal dimension of the vehicle, a transverse dimension of the vehicle, and also a vertical dimension of the vehicle, wherein each holder device has an fastening clip connected to the housing, a hollow bolt which is functionally connected to the fastening clip when the holder device is installed, and a fastening screw for fixing the hollow bolt on the housing support, wherein at least one holder device is designed as a stabilizing device and comprises guiding means in such a manner that the housing is fixed by means of the stabilizing device in a maximum of two out of three spatial dimensions of the stabilizing device.
