WRAPPING FOR PACKAGING A PRODUCT, NOTABLY A FOOD PRODUCT
The invention relates to a wrapping having a ridge forming a tube, the joining of which to the upper transverse edge forms a leaktight border disposed between two sides of the wrapping. The ridge extends from a first lateral portion of the border to close to one side, the border having a central portion in which a cutout in communication with the packaging space is formed A precut for starting tearing is formed in the ridge and in the lateral portion, extending transversely next to the cutout, the central portion being provided with a removal line positioned in transverse continuation of the precut. The wrapping is designed to allow continuation of the tearing of the precut into the central portion in order to create, through the cutout, an opening for dispensing the packaged product.
Methods of adding expansion material to flexible containers
Methods of opening and adding expansion materials to containers made from flexible materials. The methods involve forming a partially completed container blank that may have four layers of flexible materials. The partially completed container blank may be opened by separating a portion of the first layer from a portion of the second layer by bending portions of the second, third, and fourth layers toward a first direction; and dosing the partially completed container blank, by adding an expansion material out of a dispenser and into a space disposed between a portion of the first layer and a portion of the second layer.
Method for forming a pouch
A method of forming and filling a pouch, comprises forming opposing walls of a film; sealing the opposing walls of film together to form at least one pouch; filling an interior section of the at least one pouch through an opening in an upper portion of the at least one pouch with a flowable material; forming a top sealed expressing-shaped region to close the opening in the at least one pouch; and cradling the pouch with a foldable flat that is more rigid than the pouch that can be folded or rolled to compress the pouch to express the flowable material through the expressing shaped region.
Dispensing system, packaging system, package, closure system, dispensing gun system, method of making a package, and method of dispensing a product
The present invention includes a dispensing system for dispensing a packaged product, e.g. a condiment, onto one or more areas. A package including a pouch having the product therein cooperates with a dispensing gun to dispense a dose of product. In various aspects the invention includes a packaging system that includes a container and a flexible package; a package with a frangible seal, the package including a flexible pouch; a dispensing assembly for dispensing a product from the package; a dispensing gun system; a method of making a package; and a method of dispensing a product. The packaging system includes a container such as a rigid sleeve, and a flexible pouch positioned within the container interior, and also includes a valve that enables the product to exit the pouch interior and be dispensed. An optional diffuser coordinates with the valve to dispense product from one or more product outlets.
LIQUID ANT BAIT PACK WITH TEAR-AWAY TAB
A liquid ant bait pack having a primary bait well and a plurality of feeding reservoirs for holding liquid bait is provided in which the walls of the feeding reservoirs as well as the primary bait well are sloped to facilitate ant access to the liquid bait held therein while reducing the risk of the ants falling into the bait and drowning. Ant access is further facilitated by dry platform areas positioned between the reservoirs. The inclusion of multiple feeding reservoirs, the bait well and the dry platform areas provides an increased area over which ants can simultaneously access the bait. The entrance to the bait pack is sealed during manufacture and then readily opened by the consumer using a tear-off tab that can removed without the need for any tools.
Flexible pouch with microcapillary dispensing system
The present disclosure provides a flexible pouch. In an embodiment, the flexible pouch includes opposing flexible films. The opposing flexible films define a common peripheral edge. The flexible pouch includes a microcapillary strip sealed between the opposing flexible films. A first side of the microcapillary strip is located at a first side of the common peripheral edge. A second side of the microcapillary strip is located at a second side of the common peripheral edge. A peripheral seal extends along at least a portion of the common peripheral edge. The peripheral seal includes a sealed microcapillary segment.
Flexible container with fitment and process for producing same
A flexible container is provided. The flexible container includes four panels. The four panels form (i) a body portion; (ii) a neck portion, and a flare portion that extends from the neck portion; (iii) a tapered transition portion between the body portion and the neck portion; and (iv) the neck portion has a reduced width. The flare portion has an expanded end. The width of the flare portion gradually increases from the neck portion to the expanded end.
