Controls for paper, sheet, and box manufacturing systems

Systems for providing efficient manufacturing of sheet or box structures, corrugate sheets, or other products of varying size and structure often with pre-applied print (pre-print) are provided herein. The systems include various features and modules that enable automated control of the corrugator, including the knives, slitters, scorers and cut-to-mark detection system(s), are contemplated. Colored markings may be used to indicate an order change section between two order sections of a roll plan for the manufacturing process. The colored markings are detected as the corrugator runs and, once detected, a controller determines a next set of order instructionse.g., to match the upcoming order. Thus, an order change may occur, thereby enabling automated control of the corrugator based on the new order instructions. Computer readable markings may enable checking of the actual position in the roll plan to an intended position, enabling stopping or changing of the corrugator operation if needed.

DEVICE FOR DETECTING PAPER SPLICE PART OF CARDBOARD SHEET, AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING CARDBOARD SHEET

In a device for detecting a paper splice part of a cardboard sheet and a device for producing a cardboard sheet, the device for detecting a paper splice part of a cardboard sheet, which detects a sheet paper splice part of a cardboard sheet that has a first sheet, a corrugated second sheet, and a third sheet bonded together, comprises: a sheet paper splice detection unit that detects the sheet paper splice part on the basis of the shape of the sheet and that is placed between a position at which sheets are spliced and a position at which the sheets are bonded in a sheet carrying direction; a marking device that marks the sheet paper splice part on the downstream side of the sheet paper splice detection unit in the sheet carrying direction; and a mark detection device that detects the mark on the downstream side of the marking device in the sheet carrying direction.

BRUSH ROLL

A portioning system for portioning stackable flat carton elements in a stack (101) for further processing. A feeder device (105) includes a lifting platform (106) and a pushing platform (107), wherein the feeder device (105) is movable along a linear path (108) for pushing the stack (101) to a delivery position. The feeder device (105) is further movable along a lifting direction (110) having at least a component parallel to the gravity direction. The feeder device (105) is configured such that the lifting platform (106) is movable partially below the flat elements defining the stack (101) such that an edge portion (111) of the stack (101) is arranged on the lifting platform (106) for being liftable by the lifting platform (106). The feeder device (105) is further configured such that the stack (101) is pushable by the pushing platform (107) along the linear path (108) until the stack (101) is arranged at the delivery position.

Stacker load change cycle

An automated sheets processing system has a vertical stacks accumulating region (SAR) into which sheets are uninterruptedly fed to build vertical stacks for pre-specified loads including completed loads and newly building nascent loads. A tiltable Stacking Deck has a downstream discharge end from which the sheets can be fed at different elevational levels into the stacks accumulating region. A nascent sheets accumulator system has a plurality of support surfaces that are retractably interjectable into the stacks accumulating region for defining a separation gap between the top of a completed load and the bottommost sheet of a nascent new load. At least one of the support surfaces is retractably interjectable in an upstream direction into the stacks accumulating region while at least two others of the support surfaces are retractably interjectable in a downstream direction into the stacks accumulating region. One of the support surfaces has an anti-scuff feature.
