An photocatalytic filter is provided to include a support; and a photocatalytic material coated on the support to cause a photocatalytic reaction to degrade an undesired gas present in an air, and wherein the photocatalytic filter has cells with a width equal to or less than 2 mm, thereby providing an air resistance in a direction facing UV LED for the photocatalytic activation, the air flow having a minimized air resistance.
Catalyst for ammonia oxidation
The present invention relates to a bimetallic catalyst for ammonia oxidation, a method for producing a bimetallic catalyst for ammonia oxidation and a method for tuning the catalytic activity of a transition metal. By depositing an overlayer of less catalytic active metal onto a more catalytic active metal, the total catalytic activity is enhanced.
Catalyst manufacturing method
A method for producing a catalyst using an additive layer method includes: (i) forming a layer of a powdered catalyst or catalyst support material, (ii) binding or fusing the powder in said layer according to a predetermined pattern, (iii) repeating (i) and (ii) layer upon layer to form a shaped unit, and (iv) optionally applying a catalytic material to said shaped unit.
Gradient catalyst compositions and applications thereof
In one aspect, structural catalyst bodies comprising one or more gradients of catalytic material are provided herein. In some embodiments, a structural catalyst body described herein comprises an inner partition wall having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, the inner partition wall having a gradient of catalytic material along the width of the inner partition wall.
Generation and delivery of ammonia gas in an exhaust gas system
An exhaust gas system for an engine producing an exhaust gas includes an exhaust gas tube configured to receive the exhaust gas. A particulate filter is in fluid communication with the exhaust gas tube and configured to undergo thermal regeneration when the exhaust gas in the particulate filter is heated above a regeneration temperature. A generator unit is positioned downstream of the particulate filter and includes a first catalyst. A tank is configured to store a precursor material. The generator unit is configured to employ the precursor material and the heat generated for the thermal regeneration of the particulate filter to generate an ammonia gas from the precursor material. The system includes a controller having a processor and tangible, non-transitory memory on which is recorded instructions for executing a method of controlling generation of ammonia gas in the generator unit and injection of ammonia gas in the exhaust gas tube.
USE OF CATALYSTS, METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SELECTIVE OXIDATION OF AMMONIA IN A GAS CONTAINING HYDROGEN
The invention contributes to a cost effective way to solve the problem of trace ammonia removal from a hydrogen and nitrogen containing gas. The set of catalysts of the invention selectively oxidised ammonia in ppm concentration even in gas mixtures containing hydrogen gas in concentrations of three orders of magnitude higher than the concentration of ammonia.
PROCESS PLANT FOR CONVERTING A SOLID INPUT MATERIAL INTO A SOLID PROCESS PRODUCT
The invention relates to a process plant (20) for converting a solid input material into a solid process product. The process plant (20) includes a calciner which is connected to a heat exchanger (26) and to which the input material can be continuously supplied for heating in order to transform the input material into an intermediate product. In the process plant (20) there is a kiln for converting the intermediate product into the process product by means of thermal treatment, raw gas being produced in doing so. The process plant (20) has a raw gas line system (50) comprising a raw gas line (50.1) which extends from the kiln to the calciner and through which the raw gas can flow from the kiln into the calciner for transferring raw gas heat to the input material, and includes a cooling device for cooling the process product after the thermal treatment in the kiln by transferring heat from the process product to a cooling gas containing oxygen, as a result of which a hot gas containing oxygen is generated. According to the invention, in the process plant (20) there is a waste air purification device for oxidizing raw gas, which is connected to the calciner via a raw gas line system (50), wherein a hot gas line system which is used for supplying hot gas generated from the cooling device is attached to the raw gas line system (50). The invention also relates to a method for converting a solid input material into a solid process product and to a method for purifying raw gas produced during the manufacture of cement.
