Method and apparatus of modular punch forming plates for alignment of a stringer for a vehicle
Methods and devices of fabricating a stringer for a vehicle. The stringer can be constructed from two charges that are formed together into the stringer. During fabricating, the ends of the charges can be formed in a die cavity. When the ends are misaligned in the die cavity, one of the charges can be moved in the die cavity to align the ends. The device used for fabricating the charges can include a punch with separate punch plates that move the ends of the charges into the die cavity. The punch plates can be separately moved to adjust the position of the charges and align the ends.
MOULDING ARRANGEMENT
A method for forming a composite component, the method comprising: providing a first mould tool and a second mould tool, the first and second mould tools being configured so as to be capable of defining at least part of a mould cavity between them, and the second mould tool having a moulding surface defined by at least two demountable mould bodies; attaching the first mould tool to a press at a first workstation; subsequently, at a second workstation spaced from the first workstation, loading at least part of the second mould tool with reinforcement material whilst the first mould tool remains attached to the press at the first workstation; moving the second mould tool to the press at the first workstation in such a position as to confront the first mould tool; causing the press to effect relative movement of the first and second tools to bring the first and second tools into mating arrangement so as to define a mould cavity therebetween; and setting in shape the reinforcement material located in the mould cavity.
Seal forming structure for a patient interface and a tool and method of manufacturing the seal forming structure
The technology provides for a cushion assembly or a tool for forming the cushion assembly for a patient interface delivery of a supply of pressurised air or breathable gas to an entrance of a patient's airways. The cushion assembly has an inferior surface and a mask connection portion, and includes a pad arranged on the inferior surface for sealingly contacting a wearer's face in use.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING COMPOSITE MATERIAL COMPONENT AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING COMPOSITE MATERIAL COMPONENT
A composite material component manufacturing method including a first thermoforming step for creating a first three-dimensional prepreg sheet by thermoforming a thermoplastic first prepreg sheet into a three dimensional shape, a laminate body creating step for creating a prepreg sheet laminate body by layering the first three-dimensional prepreg sheet and a second prepreg sheet; and a laminate body molding step for molding the prepreg sheet laminate body by applying heat and a pressing force to the prepreg sheet laminate body with a pressing device.
CAP FOR A CONTAINER
A method for making a cap (1) for a container comprises a step of forming in a mould, in which the following are made: a body (2) configured to be coupled and uncoupled relative to the neck of the container and including an internally threaded side wall (21), which extends around a longitudinal axis (A), and a transverse wall (22); a tamper evident ring (3), including a retaining element (31), configured to engage a locking member on the neck of the container, and a joining portion (32), where the tamper evident ring is joined to the cap body, the joining portion (32) being configured to be torn along a perimeter surrounding the longitudinal axis (A) in response to a movement of the body (2) away from the tamper evident ring (3); a connecting window (4) including a connecting band (40) and a film (400) which is thinner than the connecting band (40), the film (400) being adjacent to a first flank (43) and a second flank (44) of the connecting band (40), each of the first flank (43) and second flank (44) extending from a first end (41) of the connecting band (40) connected to the retaining portion (31) to a second end (42) of the connecting band (40) connected to the side wall (21) of the body (2), along the whole length of the first (43) and of the second flank (44).
Preform station and method
A preform station for forming a flexible semi-finished product and for transforming a flexible semi-finished product into a geometrically stable preform is provided. The preform station comprises a first pin array having a multitude of pins, on which the semi-finished product can be draped. Furthermore, the pins are movable along their longitudinal directions in order to form the flexible semi-finished product. Furthermore, the preform station comprises an activation device for activating a binder of the semi-finished product such that the semi-finished product can be transformed into the geometrically stable preform.
Method And Apparatus To Produce Auxetic Foam
In methods and apparatuses for producing auxetic foam from conventional foam, conventional foam is compressed into a mold before thermal, chemical or thermo-chemical treatment processes are performed. A segmented mold is accommodated in a compressing apparatus. After compressing the foam between the mold segments, the mold is fastened shut and removed from the compressing apparatus. The forces applied to any given volume of foam and the amounts by which the foam is compressed while being processed are controlled to impart desired mechanical properties to the produced foam. Poisson's ratio and density of discrete portions of finished foam shapes are reliably predicted and controlled to achieve uniform and non-uniform mechanical properties within a single continuous quantity of foam.
METHOD OF MOLDING USING MOLD INSERTS AND APPARATUS THEREFOR
A method for forming a part in an injection mold, includes: heating a molding material to a molding temperature; injecting the molding material through a gate and into a molding cavity of the injection molding apparatus of any of the preceding claims; pressing the stationary half and the moving half together to form the molding cavity between the resin mold surface and the insert molding surface; moving the movable mold insert, and thereby moving the insert molding surface and adjusting the molding cavity shape, the molding cavity depth, the molding cavity volume, or a combination comprising at least one of the foregoing along at least a portion of the molding cavity; cooling a surface of the molding cavity with the cooling system; separating the resin mold surface and the moving half mold surface; and ejecting the part from the injection molding apparatus.
