Tire comprising a high-contrast pattern and ribs for protecting the pattern
The invention relates to a tire made of rubbery material comprising a sidewall on which there is formed at least one pattern that contrasts with this sidewall. The pattern comprises a plurality of strands distributed through the pattern with a density of at least five strands per square millimeter (mm.sup.2), each strand having a mean cross section of between 0.003 mm.sup.2 and 0.06 mm.sup.2. The tire also comprises on the said sidewall at least two ribs that pass through the pattern and between which strands of the pattern are present, the said ribs being distant from one another by at most 10 mm, each rib having a height of at least 0.25 mm and a mean width of at least 0.20 mm, the said pattern following the relief formed by the ribs.
Mold for a tire having a shell with removable parts
A mold for vulcanizing and molding a tire is disclosed herein. The tire includes a tread delimited by two sidewalls, and the mold includes a ring for molding the tread of the tire and two shells having tire-molding surface features for molding the sidewalls. At least one of the shells has a removable shell part extending circumferentially on the side of the sidewall of the tire to be molded, with the tire-molding surface features being incorporated into the removable shell part.
TIRE VULCANIZING APPARATUS
A vulcanizing bladder 3 comprises a first bladder 11 configured to contact with an inner circumferential surface of an unvulcanized tire (T) and a second bladder 12 arranged inside the first bladder 11. A first fluid G1 is to be supplied between the first bladder 11 and the second bladder 12, and a second fluid G2 is to be supplied to an inside of the second bladder 12. At least one of an inner circumferential surface 11s of the first bladder 11 and an outer circumferential surface 12s of the second bladder 12 is provided with a guide groove 31 extending in a tire axial direction through which the first fluid G1 can pass.
Mould Insert Comprising A High-Contrast Texture
Lining element intended to be inserted into a mould for moulding and vulcanizing a tire tread, the lining element comprising a body and inserts inserted into this body, at least some of the inserts comprising a pattern comprising a plurality of recessed or projecting elements, the pattern being formed as an integral part of the inserts.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A MOLDING ELEMENT BY ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING AND CHEMICAL ATTACK
A process for manufacturing a molding element of a curing mold, the molding element being manufactured by an additive manufacturing process, the molding element comprising a molding inner surface and an outer surface on the opposite side from the molding inner surface, and the molding element comprising at least one vent through which air can pass between the molding inner surface and the outer surface of the molding element, comprises the following steps: (a) additively manufacturing the molding element and the vent at the same time, the vent being manufactured with at least one dimension less than its final value, and (b) cleaning and enlarging the vent using a process of removal of material by chemical attack effected by immersing the molding element in a solely chemical bath so as to bring the vent to its final dimensions and to reduce the surface roughness of the vent.
TIRE BUILDING DRUM
A tire building drum (10) is used to build a large green tire. The tire building drum (10) comprises: a cylindrical drum main body (12) haying an outer peripheral surface (14) a diameter of which is capable of being increased and reduced; and a coating (16) formed on the outer peripheral surface of the drum main body. The coating (16) includes a silicon layer (26) defining a surface of the coating (16), and the silicon layer has a surface roughness Ra of 10 m or greater. The tire building drum (10) requires no application of stearic acid onto the surface thereof in release of the green tire.
Mould Element For A Tire Mould Comprising A Mark
A mould element (2) for a mould for a tire comprising a marking (20), the mould comprising a shell intended to mould the sidewall (10) of the tire (1). The mould element (2) is a removable insert intended to be mounted in a housing of the shell, and the marking (20) is intended to mould on the tire a coded matrix symbol that contrasts with the sidewall of the tire, the marking (20) comprising a first set of cavities (201) or of protuberances (202) which is designed to mould dark parts of the coded matrix symbol (5).
Insert for a mould for vulcanising tyres for vehicle wheels, process for producing said insert and process for vulcanising tyres
An insert for a mould for vulcanising tyres for vehicle wheels, the insert arranged to receive in a seat formed on a moulding surface of the mould and comprising a base surface from which a plurality of projections extends; wherein, each projection comprises a lateral surface extending away from the base surface such that the lateral surface defines a tapered profile of the projection away from the base surface, is inclined at an angle between 10 and 25 with respect to a direction perpendicular to the base surface, and has a roughness between 4 and 11 m.
TIRE MOLD AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING TIRE MOLD
A tire mold capable of imparting appropriate amounts of heat according to regions of an uncured tire is provided. The tire mold includes a base mold and a pattern mold which is fitted to the base mold and has a surface part for molding a tread pattern on the tire. A heat adjusting agent for adjusting amounts of heat to be transmitted to the tire via the surface part of the pattern mold is placed in a hollow cavity formed between the base mold and the pattern mold or inside the base mold.
Mold for tire having an annular insert with a concentric groove
