Vehicle seat and passenger selection system
A vehicle seat comprises a frame member provided on a floor of a vehicle, a seat part such as a seat cushion detachably attached to the frame member, a mechanical connector device provided on the frame member and the seat part for detachably attaching the seat part to the frame member; and an electric connector device provided on the frame member and the seat part for electrically connecting an electric component provided on the seat part to an electric component provided on the frame member.
Energy attenuating vehicle seat assembly
In one embodiment there is disclosed an energy attenuating vehicle seat. The seat includes a seat back pivotally connected to a seat pan, the seat back and the seat pan independently pivotal. At the pivot between the seat back and the seat pan there is a rotary energy attenuation device. The device extends between the seat back longitudinal members and the seat pan longitudinal members and is pivotally attached to the seat pan and the seat back allowing individual adjustment of the back or pan. The rotary energy attenuating device cooperates with a track system along the length of seat longitudinal members allowing for different directions of travel and height adjustment. The vehicle seat offers passive or active protection from impact and sudden acceleration (G force and Pressure Wave) due to accident or explosive events and is capable of automatically resetting.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat comprising a seat member and a backrest, wherein a belt connection is attached to or integrated into the upper end of the backrest, a mechanical coupling device is provided for coupling the backrest to the assembly for adjustment of the inclination of the seat member in the event of a collision. A triggering threshold is defined wherein the backrest is decoupled from the assembly under normal operating conditions, and wherein in a collision, when the triggering threshold is exceeded, the backrest pivots forwards and is finally coupled via the mechanical coupling device to the assembly, so that further pivoting of the backrest forwards triggers the assembly and causes the front region of the seat member facing away from the backrest to pivot upwards about a transverse axis.
AIRBAG AND SEAT APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
An airbag includes plural bag portions respectively including two sheet members which are attached to each other, the plural bag portions arranged to be overlapped with each other in a thickness direction of the sheet member, and a welded portion at which the sheet members being in contact with each other are attached to each other. The welded portion includes a communication hole penetrating the sheet members which are in contact with each other to communicate the bag portions which are arranged to be overlapped with each other, and a rib portion arranged radially outward of the communication hole, the rib portion protruding in the thickness direction from a welded surface of the welded portion. The rib portion includes an annular rib surrounding the communication hole, and a cutout portion provided at the annular rib.
Seat assembly actuatable for potential vehicle impact
A vehicle seat assembly is provided with a seat bottom that is adapted to be mounted to a vehicle floor. A seatback is adapted to be pivotally mounted adjacent to the seat bottom. An actuator is in cooperation with the seat bottom or the seatback. A controller is in electrical communication with the actuator and programmed to receive input indicative of a potential vehicle impact. In response to receiving the input indicative of the potential vehicle impact, the controller outputs a signal to the actuator to tilt the seatback, or to tilt the seat bottom.
Behavior control airbag apparatus
A behavior control airbag apparatus including: a floating cushion disposed in a seating part of a seat, and configured to push up a passenger on the seating part while deployed by gas injected by an inflator; and a behavior cushion disposed eccentrically on an outboard side of the floating cushion, and configured to push up the outboard side of the passenger according to the injection of the gas, such that the passenger is inclined to an inboard side.
Additive collapsible seat
Devices, systems, and methodologies for vehicle seats include selectively collapsible safety layers providing collapsible support to reduce impulse experienced by the seated passenger imparted by the vehicle seat, which can reduce the likelihood and/or extent of injury attributable to occurrences exceeding threshold momentum changes, such as transportation vehicle collisions.
VEHICLE SEAT
An assembly includes a seat bottom including a panel pivotable from a first position to a second position. The assembly includes a track supported by the seat bottom. The assembly includes a spring in the track and urging the panel toward the second position. The assembly includes a pyrotechnic actuator maintaining the spring in compression and actuatable to release the spring.
DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING THE LENGTH OF THE SEAT PORTION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE SEAT WITH CONTROLLED BREAKING
A device for adjusting the length of the seating portion of a motor vehicle seat, the seating portion comprising a movable seating part, the adjustment device comprising a threaded rod, a rotating nut, and a housing receiving the nut and the threaded rod, the threaded rod comprising a first end in connection with the movable seating part and a second end opposite the first end, the threaded rod and the nut cooperating in rotation to move the movable seating part, wherein the nut comprises a nut weakness area for the breaking of said nut.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat, which is provided with a collision prediction sensor and with a seat cushion having a seat cushion top face and a seat cushion frame, includes: a pelvis movement suppression member disposed along a seat width direction inside a front portion of the seat cushion; a vertical movement-enabling unit supporting the pelvis movement suppression member at the seat cushion frame and allowing vertical movement of the pelvis movement suppression member to follow vertical movement of the seat cushion top face; and a stopper unit attached to the seat cushion frame and, in a case in which a rapid deceleration of a vehicle is detected or a collision of the vehicle is predicted by the collision prediction sensor, restricting downward movement of the pelvis movement suppression member.
