AIRBAG STRUCTURE
A ceiling panel is prevented from falling from a bag cover when an airbag deploys and expands. An airbag structure includes: an airbag; a bag cover to which the airbag is attached, the bag cover being fixed to a vehicle body; a ceiling panel integrated with the bag cover, the ceiling panel forming a storage space for storing the airbag between the bag cover and the ceiling panel, the ceiling panel opening the storage space by opening with respect to the bag cover, and exposing the airbag toward inside of a vehicle when the airbag deploys and expands; and a falling-off preventing structure disposed between the bag cover and the ceiling panel, the falling-off preventing structure preventing the ceiling panel from falling from the bag cover.
Structural object mounting structure
A structural object mounting structure of the disclosure is a structural object mounting structure for mounting a structural object on an instrument panel on a front passenger seat side of a vehicle. The structural object mounting structure includes a moving mechanism that moves the structural object in such a manner as not to prevent an airbag of a front passenger seat airbag device that has been inflated and deployed from being deployed.
AIR BAG COVER
An air bag cover is provided. The air bag cover includes: a main cover assembled to an air bag housing to cover an air bag cushion disposed in the air bag housing, the main cover including a hinge portion that is formed on an inner surface of the main cover, and the main cover is rotatable and openable about the hinge portion upon an expansion of the air bag cushion; and an inner cover assembled to the inner surface of the main cover to cover the hinge portion, and to open together with the main cover, wherein the inner cover includes an extension portion disposed adjacent to the hinge portion, and the extension portion is extendable upon an opening of the main cover, and wherein a rigidity of the hinge portion is less than a rigidity of the main cover.
COMPONENT FOR VEHICLE INTERIOR
A component for a vehicle interior may comprise a composite structure comprising a structural substrate to provide an opening for deployment of an airbag and a structure for the airbag. A door may be formed to provide the opening in the composite structure during deployment of the airbag. The composite structure may comprise a hinge area for the door and a reinforcement area for the hinge area. The reinforcement area may reinforce the hinge area for the door. The reinforcement area may provide retention so that the door does not separate from the composite structure at deployment of the airbag. The reinforcement area may be provided at an interface of the structural substrate and the structure for the airbag. The structure for the airbag may comprise a feature/molded feature to provide the reinforcement area. A process to form the component is disclosed.
Component for vehicle interior
A component for a vehicle interior configured to facilitate deployment of an airbag is disclosed. The component may comprise a composite structure comprising an injection molded structure/framework with a mesh insert/fabric within a panel and a door panel. The structure may comprise a feature configured to retain the mesh insert. The feature may comprise a set of ribs formed into the mesh insert. A resin feature may comprise a reinforcing rib adjacent to the recess to facilitate binding between the mesh fabric and the door panel. The door panel may comprise a recess provided between the hinge area and the feature to facilitate bonding of the mesh insert. The feature may comprise a rib formed into the mesh insert at the recess. The mesh may comprise a set of rings configured to facilitate absorption of energy during deployment of the airbag.
NTERIOR EQUIPMENT OF A VEHICLE AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
An interior equipment of a vehicle comprises: a flap component covering an airbag module and configured for opening when the airbag is deployed, wherein the flap component comprises a hinge; and a support material attached to at least a border region of the flap component and extending across the hinge. The support material includes at least one conductive fiber extending across the support material and connected to terminals of a power source to pass current through the at least one conductive fiber for heating the support material. Further, the support material is arranged to heat a surface of an interior trim part which is located adjacent to the interior equipment or is part of the interior equipment.
