The exposed surface includes a front end having the same height as the rear end of the exposed surface of the engine hood, and extends in a planar shape from the front end to the windshield glass. The rib is provided in front of the wiper pivot, protrudes from the exposed surface of the cowl top garnish, and extends in the vehicle width direction along the blade.

The angle-of-view areas cover angles of view of left and right imagers disposed on an interior of a vehicle. The washer nozzle ejects a washer fluid to an outer surface of the front window glass. The cowl is recessed and extends in a vehicle width direction between the front window glass and a front hood. The plate members stand erect in the cowl and extend in a vehicle front-rear direction. The plate members are disposed at least one at each outer side, in the vehicle width direction, of a widthwise center of the vehicle. The plate members extend toward an area interposed between outer edges of the angle-of-view areas in the vehicle width direction in a plan view of the vehicle.

Vehicle windshield wiper assembly

A support panel adjacent to the windshield opening has an upper surface and a lower surface with a first shaft opening. A wiper drive mechanism is supported to the vehicle body structure and extends along the lower surface of the support panel. The wiper drive mechanism includes a shaft housing and a wiper shaft pivotally supported within the shaft housing. A water diverting panel at least partially covers the wiper drive mechanism and is attached thereto and has a cylindrically shaped portion extending upward therefrom. The cylindrically shaped portion defines a second shaft opening with the shaft housing and wiper shaft extending upward through the second shaft opening and further extending upward through the first shaft opening. A filter member is mounted to the cylindrically shaped portion above the water diverting panel and below the support panel encircling the shaft housing.

The windshield wiper arm can be configured to move through a planar range of motion that is substantially parallel to a surface of a vehicle when the platform is positioned at a first spatial location and the movable windshield wiper arm can be configured constrained from moving through the planar range when the platform is positioned at a second spatial location.

The flange section is opened at a vehicle front side, and is provided with an opening. In a region at a vehicle rear side and at an electric motor side, of the bottom plate section, a protrusion that protrudes upward from a region at a side opposite to the electric motor is included.
