Wiper control mechanism
An arrangement to reduce refreezing of meltable snow includes a wiper arm configured to wipe the meltable snow from an ambient-facing surface of a window positioned on a vehicle. The arrangement also includes a sensor coupled to the wiper arm that is configured to gather and transmit a parameter on the vehicle and environment. The arrangement also includes a processor that is configured to receiving the parameter, determining refreezability of the meltable snow based on the parameter, and defining an action to be performed by the wiper arm.
WIPER WASHER CONTROL APPARATUS
A wiper washer control apparatus includes an ignition sensor, a shift position sensor, a wiper driving unit, a washer spraying unit, a wiper lever detection unit, and a wiper washer control unit. The wiper washer control unit changes a control to be performed by the wiper driving unit to a delay mode when receiving information indicating that the traveling driver is in the started state from the ignition sensor, receiving information indicating that a shift position is in a parking range from the shift position sensor, and receiving information indicating that the delay mode is to be started from the wiper lever detection unit. The wiper washer control unit changes the control to be performed by the wiper driving unit to a spray mode when receiving, in the delay mode, information indicating that the spray mode is to be started from the wiper lever detection unit.
WIPER CONTROL DEVICE
A wiper control device that includes: a current detection section that detects a flow of current through a coil of a wiper motor; an environmental information acquisition section that acquires a vehicle speed or a vehicle external air temperature as environmental information; and a control section that controls a drive circuit such that a torque of an output shaft that is estimated from the current detected by the current detection section becomes equal to or less than a base limit torque that corresponds to a rotation angle detected by a rotation angle detection section, and such that a torque of the output shaft becomes equal to or less than a base limit torque that is corrected according to environmental information acquired by the environmental information acquisition section.

A windshield wiper system for a vehicle. In one example, the windshield wiper system includes a windshield wiper having a wiper arm, a wiper blade, a wiper arm drive and a washing nozzle, and an evaluation unit. The washing nozzle is configured to be moved along a windshield and to dispense a washing liquid The evaluation unit is configured to determine a partial area of the windshield of the vehicle to be cleaned The partial area is an area which can be reached by the wiper blade to control the wiper arm drive to move the wiper blade from a parking position of the wiper blade to the partial area and to activate the dispensing of the washing liquid upon reaching the partial area and to control the wiper arm drive to only sweep the partial area for cleaning by means of an oscillating movement.
Vehicular wiper device
A vehicular wiper device is provided with a snowfall determination unit that determines whether a predetermined snowfall condition is satisfied. When the snowfall determination unit determines that a predetermined snowfall condition is satisfied, a controller that controls a wiper motor changes lower reverse positions of wiper blades to lower reverse positions during snowfall that are on the lower side with respect to lower reverse positions during normal times.
DUAL SWEEP ANGLE AND INDEXABLE WIPER SYSTEM
A windshield wiper assembly for a dual sweep angle and indexable wiper system is provided. The system further includes an output wiper shaft coupled to the wiper arm, a second eccentric coupled to a cam shaft, and a link coupled to the first eccentric and the second eccentric, the link having a first effective link arm length between the first eccentric and the second eccentric for driving the first eccentric to operate the wiper arm when operated in a first direction.
Apparatus for controlling or otherwise manipulating vehicle components, and methods of use and manufacture thereof
A control system can include an actuator actuable into an on state to instruct a wiper motor to move a wiper over a vehicle exterior surface, and a source of vehicle movement data that indicates whether the vehicle is moving. A processor based controller can instruct the wiper motor to move the wiper to either a Park 1 position that provides enhanced aerodynamic effects or a different Park 2 position that provides enhanced accessibility to the wiper if the actuator is not actuated into the on state. The controller being specifically configured to instruct the wiper motor to move the wiper to the Park 1 position if the source of vehicle information indicates that the vehicle is moving, and to instruct the wiper motor to move the wiper to the Park 2 position if the source of vehicle information does not indicate that the vehicle is moving.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROL OF REAR WIPER
A system for a motor vehicle according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a controller and a rear wiper configured to wipe a rear window of the motor vehicle in response to instructions from the controller. The heating means generates heat that is given to the window when voltage of an electric power source of the vehicle is applied to the heating means. The control device changes voltage application time that is time period for applying the voltage of the electric power source to the heating means so that a total amount of heat generated by the heating means for a predetermined period of time is coincident with a predetermined amount determined based at least on an outside air temperature.
