In order to improve the wear resistance, wiping characteristics and wiping quality of the wiper rubber (10), the surface of the wiper rubber substructure (1) at least in a partial region (2c, 2c) of the wiper lip section (2) has been treated with ultraviolet radiation. The present invention further relates to a process for producing a wiper rubber, to a correspondingly produced wiper rubber and to a windshield wiper equipped therewith.

A pre-curved carrier element with opposing lateral edges biases the wiper blade into a curved shape. At least one projection of a connector base is received in at least one notch of the carrier element for restricting relative longitudinal movement between the connector base and the carrier element. The connector base also at least one long locking arm and at least one short locking arm which engage around the lateral edges of the carrier element to lockingly connect the connector base with the carrier element. The at least one short locking arm has a lateral width which is less than the at least one long locking arm. The at least one short locking arm has a ramped lower surface for allowing the at least one short locking arm to snappingly engage the carrier element.

The nozzle structure (2) presents a first nozzle structure assembling feature (2a) and a second nozzle structure assembling feature (2b). The first adapter assembling feature and the first nozzle structure assembling feature are matched with each other to form a first connection in the form of pin-aperture between the adapter and the nozzle structure, and the nozzle structure and adapter are rotatably pre-assembled together when they are connected only be means of the first connection. The second adapter assembling feature and the second nozzle structure assembling feature are matched with each other to form a second connection in the form of snap fit between the adapter and the nozzle structure. The nozzle structure is secured to the adapter through the first connection and the second connection.
