Reduced arc windshield wiper system for a vehicle
A windshield wiper system (100) includes a pivoting wiper arm (110); a wiper blade (120) for wiping a surface (102); and a connector assembly (128) coupling the pivoting wiper arm (110) to the wiper blade (120), the connector assembly (128) comprising a gear drive (130) including at least one drive gear (132) and at least one positioning cog (136), wherein the gear drive (130) rotates the wiper blade (120) based on an angular position of the pivoting wiper arm (110) such that an arc of a motion path (320) of the wiper blade (120) is reduced.
WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADE
A wiper blade having a wiper strip having a wide portion and a lip, and an elongate backing element. The backing element having a top portion, and two opposing legs that descend from the top portion, such that each opposing leg has a claw which extends towards the other opposing leg. A gap formed between the claws that is narrower than a width of the wide portion of the wiper strip. The claws, legs, and top portion define a wiper strip cavity sized to receive the wide portion wiper strip.
Connecting assembly for a windscreen wiper blade
Assembly for the production of a wiping system (1), comprising a terminal part (4) of a wiper arm (3) designed to move a wiper blade (2), and a connecting interface (5) for conveying a liquid to the wiper blade (2), said assembly further comprising one sliding element (6) having a first position for locking a connecting device of the wiper blade (2) on said terminal part (4), and a second position enabling the terminal part (4) and the connecting device to be separated, said sliding element (6) being further able to hang said connecting interface (5) either on the connecting device in the first position or on the terminal part (4) in the second position.
Windscreen wiper device
A windscreen wiper device comprising an elastic, elongated carrier element, as well as an elongated wiper blade of a flexible material, which can be placed in abutment with a windscreen to be wiped, which wiper blade includes opposing longitudinal groove on its longitudinal sides, in which grooves spaced-apart longitudinal strips of the carrier element are disposed, wherein neighboring ends of said longitudinal strips are interconnected by a respective connection piece, which windscreen wiper device comprises a connecting device for an oscillating arm, wherein said oscillating arm is pivotally connected to said connecting device about a pivot axis near one end, with the interposition of a joint part, wherein said joint part comprises at least one resilient tongue engaging in a correspondingly shaped hole provided in said oscillating arm, and wherein said resilient tongue is rotatable along an hinge axis between an outward position retaining the wiper blade onto the oscillating arm and an inward position releasing the wiper blade form the oscillating arm, characterized in that said resilient tongue is forced in the outward position under the influence of a moment in case a force is exerted on the wiper blade in a direction away from the oscillating arm.
Assembly for producing a motor vehicle windscreen wiping system and connection device including such an assembly
The invention concerns an assembly (1) for producing a motor vehicle windscreen wiping system (3), including an end fitting (5) of a wiper arm (7) adapted to move a wiper (9), a hydraulic and/or electrical connector (11) for feeding a liquid to the wiper and/or for heating the liquid, said end fitting (5) being configured to accept an adapter (13) allowing rotation between said arm (7) and the wiper (9), said end fitting (5) internally accepting said connector (11), said end fitting (5) being configured to engage said hydraulic and/or electrical connector (11), in an oriented manner relative to the end fitting (5), in a so-called service position, allowing the disconnection and/or the connection of the connector (11) on the arm (7).
Universal coupler assembly and wiper assembly incorporating the same
A universal coupler assembly for a wiper assembly includes a carrier adapted to be mounted to the wiper assembly and a saddle that is removably received and retained by the carrier. The saddle is slideably mounted in a side of the carrier and includes a locking mechanism to provide releasable engagement with the carrier. The carrier and saddle cooperate to accommodate various sizes of “pinch-type” wiper arm attachment members, “push-button-type” attachment members, as well as “side-pin-type” and “pin-and-bent-tab-type” attachment members that are used to connect the wiper arm and the wiper assembly.
Adapter for connecting a windscreen wiper blade to a driving arm
Adapter (26, 26′) for connecting a windscreen wiper blade (12) to a driving arm (14), the adapter (26, 26′) having a ‘U’-section formed by a base and two flanks (42a, 42b) delimiting a housing (45) in which: at least one (42a) of the flanks is formed by at least two walls (42aa, 42bb) separated from one another by at least one cavity (63, 64), and at least one protuberance (60) is connected to at least one of the walls (42aa, 42ab, 42ba, 42bb) and extends at least in part inside said housing (45).
Connecting structure of wiper arm
A connecting structure of a wiper arm includes a connecting shaft provided on a wiper arm and a snap-fit provided on a wiper blade. The snap-fit includes a pair of claws defining a groove that can be engaged with the connecting shaft. A slit defined by inner walls facing each other is provided on both sides of the pair of claws in a longitudinal direction of the wiper blade. A first protrusion protruding toward inside of the slit is provided on one of the inner walls, and a second protrusion protruding toward inside of the slit is provided on the other of the inner walls. The first and second protrusions are arranged offset from each other in a direction along an axial direction of the connecting shaft.
