LIQUID LEVEL SENSING FOR WASHER FLUID RESEVOIR
In accordance with at least one aspect of this disclosure, a system includes a wiper system having at least one wiper arm configured to wipe a windshield of a vehicle, a reservoir configured to hold washer fluid, and a fluid line fluidly connected between the reservoir and the wiper system configured to provide the jet of washer fluid from an outlet of the reservoir to the wiper arm for spraying onto the windshield. The reservoir includes, an interior volume having an outlet, and a piston configured to force the washer fluid through the outlet to produce a jet of washer fluid at the outlet.
EXTRANEOUS-MATTER REMOVING APPARATUS
An extraneous-matter removing apparatus according to an embodiment includes a connector, a detector, and a removal unit. The connector is connected with a branch wire branching from a camera wire. The camera wire transmits a start-up signal for starting up a camera provided outside of a vehicle. The detector detects the start-up signal flowing through the branch wire connected with the connector. The removal unit performs, when the detector detects the start-up signal, a removing operation of an extraneous matter attached to the camera.
Window wiper system incorporating window moisture and torque sensors
A window wiper system includes a wiper assembly, a window moisture sensor, a wiper torque sensor and a control module. The control module is responsive to the window moisture sensor and the torque sensor to control the operation of the window wiper assembly.
Control for passive wiper system
A system includes a dome, a wiper assembly, a position sensor and a control device. The wiper assembly includes a wiper blade configured to rotate around the dome. The position sensor may be configured to send a signal to a control device when a wiper blade passes the position sensor. The control device may include one or more processors configured to receive the signal from the position sensor and determine a location of the wiper blade relative to the dome based on the received signal.
Washer fluid distribution device and method of distributing washer fluid
A washer fluid distribution device includes a plurality of nozzle units formed consecutively, a transfer conduit configured to pass through the plurality of nozzle units and having one end fluidly connected to an introduction part, the introduction part located at one end of the transfer conduit and configured to allow a washer fluid to be introduced from a washer pump, a plurality of discharge holes configured to correspond to the number of the nozzle units in the transfer conduit and having different angles based on a center of the transfer conduit, and a controller configured to control a rotation angle of the transfer conduit to allow the discharge holes to correspond to the nozzle units in response to a user's request.
Vehicle wiper device
A vehicle wiper device includes: a first blade having an operating range that includes an upper mid region of a vehicle windshield; a second blade having an operating range that includes a lower region of the operating range of the first blade; a blade driving unit that causes each blade to reciprocate; and a controller that controls operation of the blade driving unit. When a tip end of the second blade moves in a special control region that is oriented toward a specific region preliminarily specified in the upper mid region, the controller controls the blade driving unit such that a moving speed of the second blade is lower than a moving speed of the second blade when moving in another region.
VEHICLE GLASS CLEARING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A vehicle includes a glass clearing system that performs method of clearing a glass surface of a vehicle. The vehicle includes a glass surface. The glass clearing system includes a glass clearing device and a processor. The glass clearing device is configured for clearing a glass surface. The processor receives a signal from a remote device indicative of an instruction for operating the glass clearing device, selects the glass clearing device, and activates the glass clearing device to clear the glass surface based on the instruction.
VEHICLE GLASS CONTAMINATION ASSESSMENT FOR OPTIMIZED AUTO-ACTIVATION OF CLEANING SYSTEM
A vehicle includes a system for cleaning a contaminant from a surface of a vehicle. The system includes a camera for obtaining an image of the surface, the surface including the contaminant, a plurality of cleaning devices for cleaning the contaminant from the surface, and a processor. The processor is configured to determine a contamination measure from the image, the contamination measure indicative of a contamination level of the surface from the image, determine a contaminated region and a contaminant type from the image, select a cleaning approach for cleaning the surface based on the contamination measure, the contaminated region, and the contaminant type, the cleaning approach including selecting a cleaning device from the plurality of cleaning devices, selecting a cleaning direction and selecting a cleaning duration, and control the cleaning device using the cleaning approach.
CLEANER SYSTEM
A cleaner system includes a cleaner including a nozzle having a jetting port for jetting a cleaning medium to a surface to be cleaned of a sensor mounted on a vehicle, and a control unit configured to control an operation of the cleaner. The nozzle is rotatable or slidingly movable in an operation state of the cleaner. The control unit is configured to change a movable range of the nozzle according to a travelling condition of the vehicle.
