Windscreen wiper arm, particularly for automobiles
A windscreen wiper arm, particularly for automobiles, that is able to oscillate upwardly and downwardly between a downward position and an upward position. One end of the windscreen wiper arm is adapted to be pivotally connected to a mounting head mounted on a drive shaft. Another end of the windscreen wiper arm is rigidly connected to an adapter adapted to be connected to an elongated wiper blade to be placed in abutment with a windscreen to be wiped. The adapter, at the location of its connection to the wiper blade, has a U-shaped cross-section with a base and two spaced-apart legs. The U-shaped cross-section is preferably mounted offset in a plane of the base relative to a longitudinal axis of the windscreen wiper arm. The windscreen wiper arm is provided with a nozzle for spraying a washing liquid onto the windscreen to be wiped. The nozzle is detachably connected to the adapter through a key hole connection.
A WINDSCREEN WIPER DEVICE OF THE FLAT BLADE TYPE
A windscreen wiper device of the flat blade type comprising an elastic, elongated carrier element, as well as an elongated wiper blade of a flexible material, which can be placed in abutment with a windscreen to be wiped, which wiper blade includes at least one longitudinal slit, in which slit at least one longitudinal strip of the carrier element is disposed, which windscreen wiper device comprises a connecting device for a rod-like extension of an oscillating arm, wherein said rod-like extension can be pivotally connected to said connecting device about a pivot axis near a free end thereof, with the special feature that said connecting device comprises a channel arranged to receive said free end of said rod-like extension, wherein said windscreen wiper device comprises a nozzle for spraying a washing liquid onto said windscreen to be wiped, wherein said nozzle being mounted onto said rod-like extension, and wherein said rod-like extension at a side facing towards said connecting device extends in longitudinal direction beyond said nozzle.
Articulating nozzle
An improved nozzle assembly includes a housing having an inlet for directing media (e.g. cleaning fluid) into the housing, and a nozzle core rotatably coupled to the housing. The nozzle core includes a sprayer shaft and a vane coupled thereto. The sprayer shaft defines a peripheral outlet, and is adapted for passage of media from the housing through the outlet. The vane is adapted to receive media from the inlet to rotationally bias the nozzle core in a first direction and radially orient the outlet to an activated position. The nozzle core is rotationally biased in a second direction opposite the first to radially orient the outlet to a home position different than the activated position. A system including the nozzle assembly, and methods of using each of the same, are also disclosed.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING COMPONENTS IN AN AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE
According to one aspect, a vehicle includes a chassis, a propulsion system carried on the chassis, a control system carried on the chassis, and a components arrangement carried on the chassis. The propulsion system configured to propel the vehicle, and the control system is configured to enable the vehicle to operate autonomously. The components arrangement includes at least a frame, a panel having a surface, a wiper arrangement having at least one wiper, and a fluid distribution arrangement.
