Tamper-evident multi-compartment article dispensing package and tamper-evident cover sheet for multi-compartment article dispensing package
A multi-compartment package for dispensing plural items is disclosed. The package includes plural individual sealed compartment units which are releasably secured to each other. Each compartment unit includes a flanged base from which a chamber depends. The chamber holds an item to be dispensed and is surrounded by a flange. A closure member, in the form of a respective portion of a frangible cover sheet, is adhesively secured to the flange of each compartment unit. Each closure member includes plural tamper-evident cuts therein located adjacent respective corners of the closure member to initiate a tear upon attempted removal of the closure member from the flange of its associated compartment unit.
COVER TAPE AND ELECTRONIC-COMPONENT PACKAGE
This cover tape has at least a base layer and a heat seal layer, wherein the heat seal layer contains a copolymer (A) of a styrene-based hydrocarbon and a conjugated diene-based hydrocarbon, the component (A) contains a block copolymer (A-1) of 10% by mass or more and less than 50% by mass of a styrene-based hydrocarbon and more than 50% by mass and 90% by mass or less of a conjugated diene-based hydrocarbon, and a block copolymer (A-2) of 50% by mass or more and 95% by mass or less of a styrene-based hydrocarbon and 5% by mass or more and 50% by mass or less of a conjugated diene-based hydrocarbon, a content of the component (A-1) is 35 to 60% by mass based on a total amount of the heat seal layer, and a mass ratio of the component (A-2) to the component (A-1) is 0.30 to 1.0.
Packaging assembly and container for same, method of making a packaging assembly, and associated method of activating an active agent
A container for a packaging assembly can include a body having a base and a sidewall extending therefrom. The body can define an interior including a product space configured for housing at least one product, and can have an opening leading to the interior. The container can include an active agent located within a compartment that is provided within the interior. The compartment can be sealed by a sealing layer to encapsulate the active agent within the compartment so as to prevent fluid communication between the active agent and the product space.
BIO-BASED THERMOFORMED PACKAGING AND METHODS OF FORMING THE SAME
In various aspects, the present disclosure pertains to thermoformed webs that comprise polymer films having one or more thermoformed cavities contained therein, the polymer films comprising a polymer blend of amorphous polyethylene terephthalate (APET), polyethylene furanoate (PEF), and a copolyester that comprises (a) dicarboxylic acid residues (e.g., dicarboxylic acid residues that comprise terephthalic acid residues and, optionally, one or more additional dicarboxylic acid residues) and (b) diol residues (e.g., diol residues comprising ethylene glycol residues and, optionally, one or more additional diol monomer residues). Other aspects of the disclosure pertain to methods of forming such thermoformed webs, packaged products comprising such thermoformed webs, and methods of recycling such thermoformed webs.
Child Resistant Dial Trap Pack
A child resistant container comprising a blister and a sleeve. The blister comprises a plurality of compartments arranged radially around a centrally disposed hub. Each compartment defines a cavity for holding contents. The container is a “dial pack” type container in that the blister can be rotated with respect to the sleeve to expose each cavity in turn.
RECYCLABLE FILM FOR THERMOFORMING
Recyclable films having a first layer containing a polyethylene, a second layer containing a high-density polyethylene and a hydrocarbon resin, and a third layer containing a polyethylene may be used for thermoforming packaging components. Both the first and third layers have an overall density between about 0.92 g/cm.sub.3 and 0.97 g/cm.sub.3. The film structure is advantageous as it can be more easily thermoformed than traditional high-density polyethylene films and can maintain the shape taken during thermoforming, exhibiting minimal warping or shrinking.
Multi-compartment article dispensing package
A multi-compartment package for dispensing plural items is disclosed. The package includes plural individual sealed compartment units which are releasably secured to each other. Each compartment unit includes a flanged base from which a chamber depends. The chamber serves to hold an item to be dispensed and is surrounded by a flange. A closure member, in the form of a respective portion of a frangible cover sheet, is adhesively secured to the flange of each compartment unit. Each compartment unit includes at least one foldable tab in a corner of its flange, which can be folded down to enable the closure member to be removed from the compartment unit after the compartment unit is separated from other compartment units of the package.
Packaging and method for single serve beverage product
A packaging method and packaging material are disclosed. In accordance with one aspect, a method for forming, filling, sealing and flash freezing a liquid extract or concentrate in a continuous ribbon format is described. The packaging material uses a continuous ribbon of a cold-formed foil base with multiple pockets arrayed in a pattern and a heat-sealed foil cover. Following sealing, the continuously formed strip of product is passed through a freezing medium, optionally perforated alongside the pockets to facilitate separation of individual pockets from a sheet, and then cut to size for convenient and space efficient final packaging, storage and transportation.
PACKAGING FOR A COMPONENT OF A SURGICAL HANDHELD DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PACKAGING
After their production, components for surgical handheld devices are packaged in a packaging for the purposes of transport, storage or sterilization. In order that the component is fixed in a receiving space of the packaging, said component is retained by an insert. In addition, a cover which is releasably connected to the packaging body is located above the insert and the receiving space. When the cover is being separated from the packaging body, the insert may fall out in an uncontrolled manner. The invention provides a packaging for a component, said packaging being able to be handled in a simple and safe manner. This is achieved in that at least one insert for fixing a component in a packaging body is connected to a cover of the packaging.
FILMS INCLUDING A WATER-SOLUBLE LAYER AND A VAPOR-DEPOSITED INORGANIC COATING
Methods for making films including a water-soluble polymeric material and a vapor-deposited inorganic coating are disclosed. The method comprises providing a layer of water-soluble polymeric material and vapor depositing an inorganic coating to at least one surface of the layer of water-soluble polymeric material, wherein the inorganic coating comprises a metal oxide. The method further comprises forming a plurality of microfractures extending along the surface of the inorganic coating.
