The present invention provides a packaging film (1) for use in packaging a consumer product, especially a pack of smoking articles, comprising: an area or expanse (2) of film material configured to cover the consumer product; and opening means (3) formed in the area or expanse (2) of the film material to assist or promote opening or removal of the film when it covers the product in order to access the product, the opening means (3) including at least two frangible seams (5) which extends across at least a portion of the area or expanse (2) of the film material, wherein the at least one frangible seam (5) comprises at least two lines of weakness (7) that extend generally parallel and together define a single, desirably substantially linear, tear path (P).

A film-packaged sanitary tissue paper product with excellent openability includes a bundle of the paper packaged with a flexible resin film, and has a dispenser-port-forming region defined by an easy-tear line in a loop in its top face. The easy-tear line which defines the boundary of an end of the region having a perforated line wherein modified cut areas each having major cut part and a dogleg peripheral cut part contiguous thereto at 90? or larger, are arranged with uncut areas interposed. A peripheral cut part of one modified cut area overlaps an end without a peripheral cut part of the adjacent modified cut area, on the outside and/or the side closer to the center of the region, such that the peripheral cut part or the end of the modified cut area located on the outer side of the region is positioned on the outer side of the region.

A woven laminated plastic bag having features that prevent leakage of contents out of the bag, or infestation of organisms into the contents of the bag is provided. The bag can provide a top end and a bottom end that provide a discrete area that may contain discrete graphics or printing. The bag can also include an easy open feature that can be easily opened with less force than a sealed closure of the bag. The easy open feature may be oriented in various directions with respect to the bag.

A packing box for packaging of playing cards has, in an assembled state, a shape of a rectangular parallelepiped with six faces including front and rear faces, right and left side faces, and top and bottom faces. The packing box includes cut lines in two locations at a predetermined interval in parallel with a longitudinal direction of the rectangular parallelepiped, and a central band in a portion defined by the cut lines provided in the two locations. The right and left side faces of the packing box can be removed along the cut lines such that side edges of the playing cards within the packing box are exposed.

A packaging for storing and dispensing liquids and fluidic materials with a bag-shaped body, which has a closable opening designed to remove the product stored in the packaging. Both ends of the bag-shaped body are formed as a supporting element made of the body material, holding the packaging in a standing position. Approximately in the middle region of the bag-shaped body a transversely extending perforation strip is formed for dividing the bag shaped body in two parts, comprising at least one tear tab is connected to it.

Packaging for tobacco industry products is disclosed. The packaging comprises a pack for holding tobacco industry products, and an outer wrapper enveloping the pack. The outer wrapper comprises a removable portion arranged to prevent opening of the pack until the removable portion has been removed. One of the pack and the removable portion comprises a tamper evident feature that remains attached to the other of the pack or the removable portion after the removable portion is removed from the pack. A method of packaging tobacco industry products is also disclosed.

Providing a rice wrapper which can be accurately and easily formed into a deformed conical shape having a constant apex angle is disclosed. The solution provides a rice wrapper having a rectangular shape, which used, is formed into a deformed conical shape having an apex formed by an intermediate part of one long side, the deformed conical shape is formed by: rolling a part forming one corner part located between one short side and the one long side as an inside rolled part in such a way that the one corner part is placed at an intermediate part of the opposite other long side; rolling a part on the other short side over the inside rolled part as an outside rolled part; and fixing the outside rolled part onto the inside rolled part. The rice wrapper has an outer film provided with a first mark for positioning the part on the other short side which is rolled as the outside rolled part when the deformed conical shape is formed.

A toy includes a number of play objects that constitute surprises or prizes that are serially revealed to the child as the child removes various layers of wrappings from the toy. Some play objects are located between layers of wrapping. Other play objects are tucked into outer recesses of a spherical shell which is covered by the wrappings, such that removing one of the layers of wrappings reveals one compartment containing one play object at a time. Once all of the wrappings have been removed, the shell comes apart, thus revealing yet another play object. The play object within the shell can be a toy figure such as a doll, with other play objects that were previously revealed being clothing, accessories for the doll, or cards that contain information or other indicia that has a play relationship to the toy figure. The objects that are serially revealed bear a play relationship with one another.

An improved cigarette package is provided. The cigarette package first includes a container which serves as a housing for two or more compartments, each compartment holding a plurality of cigarettes. The package also includes a lid which is hingedly connected to the container at an upper end. Opening and closing the lid provides selective access and closure to the container. The inner compartments each include a compartment tab that allows for opening and re-sealing of the respective inner compartments. Thus, a dual-compartment cigarette package is provided wherein the compartments may be independently opened and re-sealed. The configuration allows for selective opening of a single compartment while preserving the factory seal on the unopened compartment so that freshness and aromatic oils of the cigarettes within the package are preserved, even after opening of the package and compartments.
