A woven laminated plastic bag having an easy open feature is provided. The easy open feature is generally defined by a weakened portion in the bag. In various aspects the bag can be fabricated from woven polypropylene and/or polyethylene layer which can be laminated with a film layer, can form a pinch bottom bag, and can have one or both sides include graphics and/or printing. The bag can also provide a top end and/or a bottom end either or both of which provide a discrete area which may contain discrete graphics and/or printing.

A packing box for packaging of playing cards has, in an assembled state, a shape of a rectangular parallelepiped with six faces including front and rear faces, right and left side faces, and top and bottom faces. The packing box includes cut lines in two locations at a predetermined interval in parallel with a longitudinal direction of the rectangular parallelepiped, and a central band in a portion defined by the cut lines provided in the two locations. The right and left side faces of the packing box can be removed along the cut lines such that side edges of the playing cards within the packing box are exposed.

A package (10) is formed from a flexible laminated wrapper (14) having an outer laminate structure (26) and an inner laminate structure (24) and includes a tear strip (30) formed in the wrapper. The tear strip has an outer tear strip portion (40) defined between a pair of outer spaced lines of weakness (42, 44) in the outer laminate structure. At least one inner line of weakness (48, 50) is formed in the inner laminate structure offset from the outer lines of weakness. At least a part (54) of the tear strip defined in one of the outer and inner laminate structures is bonded to an overlapping region of the other of the outer and inner laminate structures in a peelable manner. An inner tear strip portion (46) may be defined in the inner laminate structure (24) between a pair of spaced inner lines of weakness (48, 50).

A packing box of shuffled playing cards has, in an assembled state, a shape of a rectangular parallelepiped with six faces, namely, a front face, a rear face, a left side face, a right side face, a top face, and a bottom face so as to encase the shuffled playing cards. The packing box includes zippers provided in two locations at a predetermined interval, each of which includes zipper-shaped cut lines arranged in parallel with a longitudinal direction of the rectangular parallelepiped shape, and has a central band in the central portion defined by the zippers provided in the two locations. A configuration is achieved in which by removing the two zippers along the cut lines formed by zipper lines or a straight slit, the left and right side faces of the packing box are removed such that the side faces of the shuffled playing cards would be exposed.

A package for a food product is provided and includes a fin seal, where the package is configured for controlled opening using an opening feature. The opening feature may include an integral flap separable from the remainder of the package to form an access opening to an interior of the package. The flap may be defined by one or more score or scribed lines that extend only partially through the package. The flap may have a portion extending into the fin seal area. Opening of the flap may expose adhesive of the fin seal area which can be utilized for attaching the flap to reclose the package.
