The gear has a plurality of cogs and recessed regions between adjacent ones of the cogs, and is configured with the mechanical stop to prevent movement of the actuator when the dial is positioned such that none of the nozzles are aligned with the channel.

The body portion further includes an aperture having a diameter selected to avoid atomization of fluid travelling through the aperture. The wall thickness is selected to prevent collapsing of the wall when the valve stem is actuated.

The present disclosure relate to an actuator assembly for an aerosol can. The assembly includes a body attachable to a can and a disc provided with two opposing levers. The disc is hinged to the body and generally overlies a valve provided on the aerosol can. When either lever is depressed, a valve socket on the bottom of the disc engages the valve of the aerosol can to discharge pressurized liquid through a port formed through the disc. One of the levers is provided with a catching member that engages and selectively locks onto a latch provided on the body so that the lever is captured in a depressed position to cause the continuous discharge of liquid from the can. The captured lever can be released to discontinue discharge of liquid by pressing the other lever.

The dispensing device has a charging configuration in which an outlet (112; 212) is closed and a metering chamber (120; 220) is configured to expand to its expanded configuration while receiving product through an inlet (111; 211). It also has a discharging configuration in which the outlet (112; 212) is open and the metering chamber (120; 220) is configured to contract to its contracted configuration while expelling the received product through the outlet (112; 212), thereby dispensing a metered dose of product. The dispensing device further comprises a latch mechanism (140; 240), configured to retain the dispensing device in the charging configuration until the metering chamber (120; 220) attains its expanded configuration. The method comprises actuating an actuator (130; 230) of the dispensing device, to fill the metering chamber, and releasing the actuator to dispense the metered dose of product.

The oversized actuator and actuator assembly are configured to be attached to what is considered to be a common, standard-sized valve cup (typically about 1.0 to 1.5 inches across) fastened to a common or standard-sized neck portion for a plastic vessel. Therefore, the actuator and actuator assembly of the present invention does not require that the shoulder of the plastic vessel to which they are attached have specialized geometry molded into the shoulder or body portions of the plastic vessel in order to hold the actuator or actuator assembly in place on the plastic vessel.

An auxiliary clamping operation device detachably securable to a spray can is disclosed to include a grip. The grip includes two clamping parts disposed at one end thereof, and a receiving space defined between the two clamping parts. Each clamping part has a triggering portion and a positioning portion disposed on opposite sides. The two trigger portions are fastened together so that the two positioning portions are drivable by the trigger portions to move between an open position where the spray can is separable from the clamping parts, and a close position where the clamping parts clamp the spray can.

Spray cap system

A spray cap system is described that can enable a user to more consistently and accurately dispense and work with the contents of a spray can. The system includes a spray cap, spray button, spray nozzle, implement holder, and an implement (such as a brush, a foam pad applicator, or a sponge). By using the spray cap system, a user may achieve a more optimal discharge pattern of the contents of the can with a more efficient and optimal coverage of a surface. In addition, the user may utilize the implement while it is attached to the spray cap or remove the implement to use the implement independently. The spray cap system provides versatility to a user by enabling the user to spray the contents of the spray can regardless of whether the implement is attached to the spray cap.
