Method for giving destination calls in an elevator system and an elevator system
A method for giving destination calls to an elevator system using a destination operating panel that includes a keypad for giving the destination calls, including identifying a call giving phase and activating buttons of the keypad on the basis of the call giving phase.
Security system for elevator
A method of operating an elevator system includes presenting a credential at a security panel disposed at an elevator system landing of a public area of a building. If the presented credential is correct a contact between the security panel and an elevator control system is opened. Opening of the contact allows for placement of a call via the elevator control system for an elevator car to the landing. An elevator system includes one or more elevator cars located in one or more hoistways. An elevator control system controls movement of the elevator cars. A security panel is operably connected to the elevator control system and located at an elevator system landing. Presenting a correct credential at the security panel opens a contact between the security panel and the elevator control system thus initiating a call of an elevator car of the one or more elevator cars to the landing.
Method for controlling elevator cars
A method for controlling elevator cars of an elevator system according to one example includes assigning free elevator cars of the elevator system to one of either general service or express priority service (EPS). A destination dispatch controller receives an express priority service (EPS) call. The EPS call can indicate a request for priority service from an EPS call originating location to an EPS call final destination. The controller can determine whether any active EPS assigned car can service the EPS call. A particular elevator car can be an active EPS car when the particular car is carrying out EPS service. When a specific active EPS car can service the EPS call, the controller assigns the specific EPS car to the EPS call. Upon completion of the EPS call, the controller unassigns the EPS car to a free car.
Elevator demand entering device
Embodiments are directed to receiving, by a demand entering device configured to receive an elevator destination command, a request for at least one of: statistical data regarding use of at least one elevator, and field data in connection with a field service, maintenance, repair, or installation activity associated with the at least one elevator, and obtaining, by the demand entering device, at least one of the statistical data and the field data in response to the request.
Elevator-landing device with destination floor establishment
An elevator-landing device that can register a floor which is daily used as a destination floor without a button operation, and register another floor as a destination floor in accordance with necessity. The elevator-landing device includes a hall operating panel to which a user can input a destination floor, a reading part which reads identification information from an information recording medium carried by a user in the hall, by radio communication, a storage part which stores identification information associated with a destination floor, a temporary registration part which obtains the destination floor associated with the identification information and temporarily registers a call to the obtained destination floor, and a determination part which determines whether or not a predetermined destination floor establishment condition is established, when it is determined that the predetermined destination floor establishment condition is established by the determination part.
Elevator system configured to allocate one or more elevators to a passenger group and method of performing same
A method for allocating elevators including reading, via one or more reading devices, identification data from one or more access cards associated with passengers until a desired termination condition is fulfilled; forming a passenger group based on the identification data such that the passenger group is formed only if the reading reads the identification data associated with two or more of the passengers, the passenger group containing the passengers therein; registering one or more destination calls to the passenger group, the one or more destination calls having at least one or more destination floors associated therewith; and allocating one or more of a plurality of elevators to the passenger group to transport the passengers belonging to the passenger group from a departure floor to the one or more destination floors.
Method for providing well access in an elevator
A method for providing well access in an elevator well having at least one elevator car moveable in the elevator well, includes the following steps: a well access operating mode of the elevator is activated, in which well access operating mode the elevator car will not respond to any landing calls, group controller commands or to any other remote commands, upon activation of the well access operating mode the car is controlled to travel a set distance up or down, the car is controlled to stop at said distance for a given time, the elevator will automatically exit the well access operating mode and return back to service if within the given time no well entrance, e.g. landing door, is opened. After non authorized activation of the well access operating mode, the elevator is automatically returned to service, which reduces the danger of off-service times of the elevator based on misuse of activation signals.
Energy management for elevator system with multiple cars
Elevator system passengers are transported in one or more of a plurality of elevator cars. The elevator cars can require different amounts of energy to operate. Passenger trips can be allocated to one car or another car based on the expected energy consumption for the trips in one or the other car.
Allocation of calls in a lift installation
A method of allocating calls of a lift installation with at least one lift and at least one car per lift to move passengers in a journey from at least one input floor to at least one destination floor, a system for executing the method and a computer readable memory with instructions for executing the method. The method includes receiving input calls from passengers travelling from an input floor to a destination floor, each call identifying at least one floor as an input floor or a destination floor. A start zone with identified input floors and a destination zone with identified destination floors are determined from the input calls and destination calls. Each identified floor within a corresponding zone is considered using at least one selection criterion and a stopping floor is selected which satisfies the criterion. The car is caused to stop at fewer than all the identified input floors and identified destination floors during the journey.
