An organic matter decomposition catalyst that contains a perovskite type complex oxide represented by A.sub.xB.sub.yM.sub.zO.sub.w, wherein A contains 90 at % or more of at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ba and Sr, B contains 80 at % or more of Zr, M is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Mn, Co, Ni, and Fe, y+z=1, x>1, z<0.4, and w is a positive value that satisfies electrical neutrality.
LARGE PARTICLE, HIGH PERFORMANCE CATALYTIC TAPE
The present disclosure is directed to a catalytic composite that comprises porous supported catalyst particles durably enmeshed in a porous fibrillated polymer membrane. The supported catalyst particles are composed of at least one metal or metal oxide catalyst dispersed on a porous support substrate. In some embodiments, the porous fibrillated polymer membrane is perforated or otherwise contains mechanically formed holes therein. The supported catalyst particles have a large particle population based, at least in part, a D90 value greater than 60 microns. The catalytic membrane composite may be used in filtration applications to remove air-polluting substances such as SOx, NOx, dioxin/furan, CO, and others and convert them into non-polluting or less-polluting gas components. Additionally, the catalytic article may be in the form of a filter bag, a honeycomb, a monolith or any other suitable geometrically structured forms.
Catalyst for organic substance decomposition and organic substance decomposing apparatus
A catalyst for decomposing an organic substance, the catalyst having a body which has a plurality of pores and the body contains a perovskite-type composite oxide represented by A.sub.xB.sub.yM.sub.zO.sub.w, where the A contains at least one selected from Ba and Sr, the B contains Zr, the M is at least one selected from Mn, Co, Ni, and Fe, 1.001≤x≤1.1, 0.05≤z≤0.2, y+z=1, and w is a positive value that satisfies electrical neutrality. The average pore diameter of the plurality of pores is 49 nm to 260 nm and the pore volume of each of the plurality of pores is 0.08 cm.sup.3/g to 0.37 cm.sup.3/g.
System and process for efficient SCR at high NO.SUB.2 .to NO.SUB.x .ratios
Disclosed herein are methods and systems for the removal of volatile organic compounds, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides from off-gas, which systems comprise a source of ammonia, means for introducing ammonia into a catalytic article having an SCR functionality; a catalytic article having both an oxidation and an SCR functionality, the catalytic article comprising a catalyst substrate and a catalyst composition comprising at least one platinum group metal and/or at least one platinum group metal oxide, at least one oxide of titanium and at least one oxide of vanadium, wherein the washcoat is located in and/or on the walls of the catalyst substrate: means for measuring the amount of NO.sub.x and/or the ammonia slip between the outlet end of the catalytic article and the stack or at the stack, at least one carbon monoxide source, and means for introducing carbon monoxide into the catalytic article.
Nano-Structured Composite Materials for Chemical Air Pollutant and Odor Removal from Air
Described is related to nano-structured composite materials for removing harmful chemical air pollutants and odors from the air to prevent people from breathing in disease-causing chemicals and provide them with clean indoor air. The nano-structured composite materials comprise nano-catalysts embedded in the pores of nano-structured substrate materials selected from the group consisting of nano-porous carbon, nano-porous rare earth oxide, nano-porous zeolite, nano-porous alumina and nano-porous silica. The nano-scale synergy of nano-catalysts and nano-structured substrate materials provides effective air filtration materials for the complete trapping and elimination of the full spectrum of chemical air pollutants including both organic and inorganic compounds and odors for indoor spaces, which HEPA or activated carbon filters cannot achieve.
MONOLITHIC COMPOSITE PHOTOCATALYSTS
Monolithic composite photocatalysts for fluid purification are disclosed. The monolithic composite photocatalysts comprise a photoactive nanocrystal component and a non-photoactive porous support. Photocatalytic fluid purification systems that contact an impurity-containing fluid with the subject monolithic composite photocatalysts are also disclosed. The monolithic composite photocatalysts may be affixed to or embedded in scaffold structures to promote fluid flow through a fluid purification system and contact with the monolithic composite photocatalysts.
Single module integrated aftertreatment module
A selective catalytic reduction system may include a single housing defining a single centerline axis. The selective catalytic reduction system may also include a diesel particulate filter disposed within the single housing and having a DPF center axis aligned with the single centerline axis. The selective catalytic reduction system may also include an SCR catalyst disposed within the single housing and having a center axis aligned with the single centerline axis. In some implementations, the diesel particulate filter may include one or more SiC filters. In some implementations, the SCR catalyst may include one or more extruded SCR catalysts.
Exhaust gas purification catalyst and exhaust gas purification method using the same
In order to provide an exhaust gas purification catalyst capable of purifying hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas at low temperatures, the exhaust gas purification catalyst according to the present invention includes: a region (2) containing palladium on a three-dimensional structure (1), and a first region (3) and a second region (4) provided on the region (2) in order from an inflow side of exhaust gas to an outflow side of exhaust gas. The concentration of rhodium contained in the first region (3) is higher than the concentration of rhodium contained in the second region (4).
AIR TREATMENT UNIT AND METHOD FOR TREATMENT OF AIR
An air treatment unit (100) arranged for an intake of a first flow (110) of air into a space (120) in communication with the air treatment unit, and arranged for a discharge of a second flow (130) of air from the space. The air treatment unit comprises a heat-exchanging unit (140) arranged for thermal exchange between the second flow of air and the first flow of air, and a catalyst (150) configured to capture at least one impurity of the first flow of air. The catalyst is provided on at least a portion (160) of the heat-exchanging unit arranged to come into contact with the first flow of air during operation of the air treatment unit.
System and Process for Efficient SCR at High NO2 to NOx Ratios
Disclosed herein is a system for the removal of volatile organic compounds, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides from off-gas even at high NO.sub.2 to NO.sub.x ratios, wherein the amount of NO.sub.2 within NO.sub.x is higher than or equal to 50 mol-%, comprising a source of ammonia, means for introducing ammonia into a catalytic article having an SCR functionality; a catalytic article having both an oxidation and an SCR functionality, the catalytic article comprising a catalyst substrate and a catalyst composition comprising at least one platinum group metal and/or at least one platinum group metal oxide, at least one oxide of titanium and at least one oxide of vanadium, wherein the washcoat is located in and/or on the walls of the catalyst substrate: means for measuring the amount of NO.sub.x and/or the ammonia slip between the outlet end of the catalytic article and the stack or at the stack, at least one carbon monoxide source, and means for introducing carbon monoxide into the catalytic article. Optionally, an SCR catalytic article can be placed upstream of downstream of the cata-lytic article having both an oxidation and an SCR functionality. Also disclosed is a method for the removal of volatile organic compounds, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides from off-gas introducing carbon monoxide in order to keep the amount of NOx and/or the ammonia slip between the outlet end of the catalytic article and the stack or at the stack at predetermined values. The method makes use of the system according to the invention. The system and the method can be used for the cleaning of flue gas.
