Dual ligand sol-gel sorbent combining superhydrophobicity and Π-Π interaction
A method of coating at least one silica capillary using a novel dual ligand sol-gel sorbent and method of manufacture of such sorbent is provided herein. The dual ligand sol-gel sorbent provides superior enrichment effects through simultaneous exploitation of superhydrophobicity of one of the ligands and the ability of the other ligand to undergo π-π interaction with hydrophobic aromatic analytes. Sorbent performance is enhanced both in terms of analyte enrichment and sorbent stability, such as pH stability and solvent stability.

A filtering and adsorbent sampling and enrichment system comprising a stationary phase consisting of a felt of activated carbon fibres with a micro-meso porous conformation and specific surface area of about 1500 m2/g and sampling and/or enrichment standards, confined within a closed casing, is described, as well as the method for obtaining it and the relative process for the analysis of organic and inorganic analytes that uses said system.
Nanometer size chemical modified materials and uses
A method of separating analytes in a liquid sample includes flowing the liquid sample through a chromatography column configured for use in liquid chromatography. The chromatography column contains a composition that includes a solid support having an exterior surface, a ligand, and a linker. The ligand includes a polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane moiety. The linker is covalently bound to both the polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane moiety and the exterior surface of the solid support.
ABSORBENT BELT AND OIL SKIMMER INCLUDING THE SAME
An absorbent belt according to an embodiment is for absorbing an oil contained in a cleaning liquid, and the absorbent belt includes a sponge member coated with dopamine (DA) formed by immersing a sponge in a solution mixed with the dopamine in a preset range of 1 g/L or more and 16 g/L or less.
IMMUNOGLOBULIN PURIFICATION METHOD AND IMMUNOGLOBULIN PURIFICATION DEVICE, AND IMMUNOGLOBULIN PRODUCTION METHOD AND IMMUNOGLOBULIN PRODUCTION DEVICE
To provide an immunoglobulin purification method which achieves a high immunoglobulin recovery percentage without causing loss of the antibody nature of an immunoglobulin. The immunoglobulin purification method includes an adsorption step and a desorption step. The adsorption step involves adsorption of an immunoglobulin onto porous zirconia particles in a neutral buffer. The desorption step involves desorption of the immunoglobulin adsorbed on the porous zirconia particles from the porous zirconia particles by means of a neutral desorption liquid.
