SMOKING ARTICLE WITH HEAT TRANSFER COMPONENT
Smoking articles are disclosed herein. The present disclosure is directed to a smoking article that comprises a heat source configured to generate heat upon ignition thereof, a substrate material having opposed first and second ends, the heat source being disposed proximate the first end of the substrate material and the substrate material having an aerosol precursor composition associated therewith, a mouthpiece, the mouthpiece being disposed proximate the second end of the substrate material, and a heat transfer component. In one implementation, the heat transfer component comprises a hollow structure and opposing first and second flanges located on respective ends thereof, wherein the hollow structure extends through the heat source such that the heat source is located between the first and second opposing flanges. In another implementation, the heat transfer component is located within the heat source, penetrates at least a portion of the substrate material, and includes a cap located between the heat source and the substrate material.
NEW CIGARETTE FILTER CONTAINING ALGINITE
The invention relates to a cigarette filter. In particular, the present invention relates to a new cigarette filter, in which materials of natural origin are used that have not been applied in this special field before. More particularly, the present invention relates to a cigarette filter, which can be used for adsorbing the toxic components of cigarette smoke, and lowering the tissue damage triggered by cigarette smoke on the respiratory organs, the cardiovascular system and the mucosa. Especially the present invention relates to a cigarette filter containing alginite.
Cone with tobacco plug filter
A smoking article and method of manufacture provides a sheet of smokable material having a plurality of edges. One or more score or cuts are made in the sheet that each extend a partial distance from a first said edge toward a second said edge, the score or cut separating large and small sections of the sheet. A hinge is defined by a portion of the sheet of smokable material that is next to a score or cut, said hinge joining the large section to the small section. A conically shaped form is provided for shaping the sheet. The form has an outer surface, a large diameter end, a small diameter end, and a cavity that extends to said small diameter end. Corrugations on the small section of the sheet enable the small section to be fitted into the cavity via the small diameter end. The hinge enables the sheet to fold when the small section occupies the cavity in an assembled position wherein the large section is wrapped around the form outer surface. In the assembled position, the corrugations enable the small section to gather together to define a filter.
Aerosol-generating article comprising a transparent tube
There is provided an aerosol-generating article (10; 100) comprising an aerosol-generating substrate (12) and a mouthpiece (14) secured to the aerosol-generating substrate (12). The mouthpiece (14) comprises at least one filter segment (18, 20) and a substantially transparent tubular segment (22) defining an empty cavity extending substantially longitudinally through the substantially transparent tubular segment (22), wherein aerosol passing through the empty cavity during use of the aerosol-generating article (10; 100) is visible from the exterior of the aerosol-generating article (10; 100) through the substantially transparent tubular segment (22).
A COMPONENT FOR A DELIVERY SYSTEM AND A METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING A COMPONENT FOR A DELIVERY SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a component for a delivery system. The component includes a body formed from a sheet of material and at least one object held in a space within the body. The sheet material includes a first internal edge at least partially defining a boundary of the space. The present disclosure also relates to a method of manufacturing a component for a delivery system and to an apparatus for manufacturing a component for a delivery system. The present disclosure also relates to a rod configured to be cut at least once to form a plurality of components and to a delivery system including a component.
A COMPONENT FOR AN ARTICLE FOR USE IN AN AEROSOL PROVISION SYSTEM
A component and related methods for forming a component for an article for use in or as a combustible aerosol provision system can include a body of material extending in a longitudinal direction, where the body of material includes crimped sheet material formed having a crimp pattern including a series of substantially parallel ridges and grooves. The average spacing between adjacent ridges can be greater than about 0.3 mm and the average density of the body of material can be between about 0.1 and about 0.25 mg/mm.sup.3. Additionally, the crimp amplitude can be less than about 0.7 mm or between about 0.7 mm and about 1.2 mm. There is also provided an article for use in or as a combustible aerosol provision system, the article including an aerosol generating material and a downstream portion downstream of the aerosol generating material, the downstream portion having the component.
Tobacco Smoking Aid
A tobacco smoking aid for tobacco users includes a tobacco leaf that is rolled to define a tube. The tube has a first end and a second end that are open. A filter is coupled to and extends from the first end of the tube. The tube is configured to insert a substance through the second end into an interior space defined by the tube. The filter is configured to insert between lips of a user to position the second end of the tube for lighting. Smoke from burning of the tobacco leaf and the substance passes through the filter into lungs of the user.
Smoking article with mouth end cavity
A smoking article (10) comprises a tobacco rod (12) and a filter (14) connected to the tobacco rod (12). The filter (14) comprises a first filter segment (18, 20) comprising one or more breakable capsules, wherein each breakable capsule comprises an outer shell and an inner core containing an additive. The filter (14) further comprises a hollow tube segment (22) downstream of the first filter segment (18, 20) and positioned between a downstream end of the first filter segment (18, 20) and the mouth end of the filter (14). The hollow tube segment (22) defines a cavity (24) at the mouth end of the filter (14). A plug wrap (23) circumscribes the first filter segment (18, 20) and the hollow tube segment (22), wherein the plug wrap (23) has a basis weight of less than 90 grams per square meter.
SMOKING ARTICLE WITH IMPROVED FLAVOR PERSISTENCE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
