VEHICLE WIPER DEVICE AND VEHICLE WIPER DEVICE CONTROL METHOD
A vehicle wiper device and vehicle wiper device control method are provided that are capable of changing a position of a wiping range of a wiper arm in a manner that is less distracting.
When a switch for an enlarged wiping operation has been switched ON, a microcomputer 58 performs control to change the position of a wiping range by starting rotation of an output shaft of a second motor 12 in a predetermined direction when a rotation angle of an output shaft of a first motor 11 has reached an angle corresponding to a position within a predetermined range in the vicinity of one out of a upper return position P1P or a lower return position P2P. Accordingly, when a front passenger seat side wiper blade 36 changes direction at either the upper return position P1P or the lower return position P2P, a front passenger seat side wiper arm 35 begins to extend, and the position of a wiping range of the front passenger seat side wiper blade 36 is moved upward on a front passenger seat side.
VEHICLE WIPER DEVICE
The versatility of a water collecting member is raised while improving the ease of assembly of the water collecting member. A water collecting member 80 is formed with plural first marks 90 serving as markers for assembly of the water collecting member 80 to a first pivot holder 20. The first pivot holder 20 is formed with a second mark 92 serving as a guide for the correct assembly orientation of the water collecting member 80 to the first pivot holder 20. The second mark 92 is formed corresponding to one out of the plural first marks 90, and is configured so as to form a pair with that first mark 90. The water collecting member 80 can be assembled in the correct position by aligning the second mark 92 and the first mark 90 that form a pair when assembling the water collecting member 80 to the first pivot holder 20. This thereby enables incorrect assembly of the water collecting member 80 to be prevented when assembling the water collecting member 80 to the first pivot holder 20 in cases in which a universal water collecting member 80 is employed in various vehicle models.

WIPER LINKAGE SUB-ASSEMBLY AND LINKAGE BLOCKED IN A POSITION FOR TRANSPORT BY MEANS OF A BLOCKING ELEMENT, AND METHOD FOR BLOCKING A WIPER LINKAGE BY WAY OF A BLOCKING ELEMENT
The present invention consists in a subassembly (1) of a linkage (2) of a wiper mechanism comprising: a bearing (3), a crank (5) articulated on the bearing (3) having a first end (51) connected to the bearing (3) and a second end (53) including a ball joint (7), and a link (9) one end of which is connected by the ball joint (7) to the crank (5),
characterized in that at least the crank (5) includes a first through-opening and in that the subassembly (1) comprises a locking element (11) intended to be positioned in the first through-opening and configured to block relative movement between the link (9) and the crank (5).
BLOCKING DEVICE FOR A WIPER LINKAGE MECHANISM, LINKAGE BEARING, LINKAGE SUB-ASSEMBLY AND ASSOCIATED LINKAGES, AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING A BLOCKING DEVICE ON A LINKAGE
The present invention concerns a device (1) for retaining a linkage (3) of a wiper mechanism in a transport position, retaining device (1) includes: a clip comprising two elastic arms intended to cooperate with a bush (31) of the linkage (3), and a retaining staple intended to cooperate with a link (33) of the linkage (3), the retaining staple being connected to the clip so that in the mounted state the retaining device (1) connects the link (33) to the bush (31) in a fixed manner in a close position of the bush (31) relative to the link (33).
BLOCKING KEY FOR A WIPER LINKAGE, LINKAGE SUB ASSEMBLY, AND LINKAGE COMPRISING A BLOCKING KEY; METHOD FOR INSTALLING A BLOCKING KEY ON A WIPER LINKAGE
The present invention concerns a key (1) for locking a link including a U-section and a crank of a linkage of a wiper mechanism in a transport position, characterized in that it comprises: a shaft (11) having at one end a radial holding excrescence (13) and at the other end an enlarged head (15) intended to cooperate with a hollow part of the U-section forming the link, and a first radial finger (17) configured to be housed in a slot for locking the link in the transport position.
VEHICULAR WIPER DEVICE
A vehicular wiper device includes a first wiper arm, a first drive source, a rocking mechanism, a second drive source, an extension and retraction mechanism, and a control unit. A first wiper blade for wiping a surface to be wiped of a vehicle is connected to the front end of the first wiper arm. The first drive source is directly or indirectly affixed to the vehicle body. The rocking mechanism is driven by the drive force of the first drive source and reciprocates and rocks the first wiper arm. The second drive source is directly or indirectly affixed to the vehicle body separately from the first drive source. The extension and retraction mechanism is driven by the drive force of the second drive source and extends and retracts the first wiper arm in the longitudinal direction thereof. The control unit controls the drive of the first drive source and the second drive source so that the extension and retraction operation of the first wiper arm performed by the extension and retraction mechanism will correspond to the rocking operation of the first wiper arm performed by the rocking mechanism.
Wiper system with variable sweep angle motor drive
A windshield wiper system for an aircraft is provided and includes a motor, an output shaft, a wrap spring and crank rocker mechanism (WSCRM) to which the motor and the output shaft are coupled and a controller. By way of the WSCRM, first directional rotation input to the WSCRM from the motor via a two-stage gear reduction is converted such that the output shaft drives wiper blade oscillation through a first sweep angle and second directional rotation input to the WSCRM from the motor is converted such that the output shaft drives wiper blade oscillation through a second sweep angle. The controller is configured to control the motor such that the first directional rotation is continuously or non-continuously input during first or second flight conditions, respectively, and the second directional rotation is continuously input during third flight conditions.
