Apparatus and method for coating substrates with washcoats
A substrate coating apparatus comprises a source of a washcoat, a washcoat showerhead comprising a showerhead plate having a plurality of nozzle apertures for discharging the washcoat towards a face of the substrate located below the washcoat showerhead, a conduit fluidly connecting the source of the washcoat to the washcoat showerhead for supplying washcoat to the washcoat showerhead and a partition ring located between the washcoat showerhead and the face of the substrate. The partition ring is dimensioned to be smaller than the face of the substrate and the substrate coating apparatus is configured in use to bring the partition ring into contact with the face of the substrate to thereby define a central region of the face of the substrate which lies within an interior of the partition ring and a peripheral region of the face of the substrate which lies outside the partition ring. The showerhead plate of the washcoat showerhead is configured in use to discharge washcoat onto both the central region and the peripheral region of the face of the substrate.
MOLECULAR SIEVE Cu-SSZ-13, ITS SYNTHESIS METHOD, CATALYST AND USE THEREOF
The present application discloses a molecular sieve Cu-SSZ-13, its synthesis method, a catalyst and the application of the catalyst in the treatment of exhaust gas of motor vehicles, especially its application in the treatment of exhaust gas of diesel vehicles, belonging to the field of catalytic materials. The content of copper calculated on the basis of CuO in the molecular sieve Cu-SSZ-13 is 2.56 to 3.69 wt %, and the content of non-framework aluminum in the molecular sieve before adding copper is 0 to 8 wt %. The Cu-SSZ-13 of the present application has a specific combination of contents of copper and non-framework aluminum, improves the selectivity of N.sub.2 generated in the selective catalytic reduction of ammonia, reduces the selectivity of N.sub.2O, and can control the N.sub.2O in the product within 15 ppm. Cu-SSZ-13 as a catalyst has good resistance to hydrothermal aging, and has significant performance advantages in the application in the treatment of exhaust gas of diesel vehicles.
EXHAUST GAS AFTERTREATMENT SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to an exhaust gas aftertreatment system and method for controlling same. The exhaust gas aftertreatment system comprises: a reductant dosing device; a selective catalytic reduction device arranged downstream of the reductant dosing device; an ammonia slip catalyst arranged downstream of the SCR device; a feedback NOx sensor arranged downstream of the SCR device and upstream of the ammonia slip catalyst; a tailpipe NOx sensor arranged downstream of the ammonia slip catalyst; and a control device configured for: providing an initial dosing of reductant from the reductant dosing device; obtaining a feedback signal from the feedback NOx sensor and a tailpipe NOx signal from the tailpipe NOx sensor; and adjusting the dosing of reductant until the feedback signal exceeds the tailpipe NOx signal by a value within a predetermined positive interval.

TANK WITH INTEGRATED SIPHON
Aspects of the disclosure relate to a diesel exhaust fluid tank for a vehicle. An exemplary diesel exhaust fluid tank includes a tank body to store diesel exhaust fluid, a tank supply line to deliver the diesel exhaust fluid to a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) device, and a tank siphon line to drain the diesel exhaust fluid from the tank body. The tank siphon line is mounted to the tank body and includes a siphon inlet (e.g., devoid of a filter) at or proximate to a bottom wall of the tank body. The integrated tank siphon line avoids any need to remove tank components to feed a siphon tube into a tank. Further, the tank siphon line leverages preexisting components in the diesel exhaust fluid tank and/or the vehicle to siphon diesel exhaust fluid as needed.
