CUSHION BACKED SPORTS SHIRT
A shirt having a pocket on the rear, and a cushion insertible into the pocket. The pocket may account for half of the height of the shirt, and forty-five to fifty percent of the width of the shirt. The pocket may have a flap covering an opening of the pocket. The cushion may be made from open or closed cell synthetic foam, and may include a flexible covering having an air bleed hole to accommodate compression and expansion of the synthetic foam.
System and method for head and spine immobilization and protection
The present invention relates to a device that stabilizes and/or protects the head and spine from injuries. An immobilization device includes one or more pillars with multiple segments that protect the head and spine of a user. The pillars typically run along the part of the head and spine and pelvis that the device protects. A cable or wire runs through these segments in the pillars. By design, when the pillars of the invented system are not activated and the system is in normal use, the pillars are designed to be as flexible as possible and allow full physiologic motion of the protected body part. Activation of the system confers rigidity to the system and prevents or lessens harmful, non-physiologic motion of the body part intended to be protected. The present invention also encompasses a immobilization device with cables used to guide the deployment of rigid tubes to stabilize and protect the head of the user. The present invention further includes segments with flat guide protrusions for increased stability of the pillars. The immobilization device can further include rigid tubes that extent to receivers when they are activated, and which can also be used to stabilize and protect the head or neck of the user.
Protective body modification apparatus
An armor-enhanced under-clothing system and/or article is provided that employs compression fabric as a figure conforming body suit element, padded elements throughout various selected parts of the body suit element for shape modification, and one or more static fabric material pockets, according to embodiments of the present invention. Anti-ballistic panels of suitable material and thickness can be inserted into the static fabric pocket element(s) designed to carry the panels.

A back protection device for the practice of sporting activities includes a plate covering at least partially the surface of the back and in the thickness of which recesses are made intended to ensure the flexibility of the plate. The plate comprises a longitudinal ridge, the axis of which is intended to extend along the spine by delimiting, on either side, two right and left parts, each composed of an upper zone and a lower zone. Central osteoarticular relief and performance structured load distribution system device and modular scalable vest system
The present invention is a loadbearing device known by the Applicants' as the Central Osteoarticular Relief and Performance Structured Load Distribution System (CORPS-LDS), which is worn by a user to help distribute the weight of a load being carried or borne by the user. More specifically, the weight is substantially shifted from the user's shoulders to their hips while not overly inhibiting the user's range of motion. Furthermore, it is an aspect of the CORPS-LDS to distribute the weight being carried in a manner that reduces the strain on the spine and back while lessening the metabolic expenditure of the user. Moreover, the present invention is a protective vest system that utilizes the present invention's CORPS-LDS.
Device for reducing head and neck injury for helmet wearer
A motion restrictor device is operable to be worn with a protective helmet to reduce the risk of head or spine injury caused by injurious movement of the helmet. The device includes a helmet-engaging component supported on a harness. The component presents helmet-engagement surfaces positioned on opposite sides of the neck of the user. The component is operable to yieldably bias each of the helmet-engagement surfaces toward the helmet when the device is worn, such that contact with the helmet is maintained as the helmet-engagement surface shifts through a range of motion. The device also includes a brake assembly that restricts shifting of at least one of the helmet-engagement surfaces in response to injurious movement of the helmet.
Bodily Support Assembly
A bodily support assembly includes a vest that may be worn. A pair of pockets is provided and each of the pockets is coupled to the vest. A pair of panels is provided and each of the panels is removably insertable into an associated one of the pockets. Each of the panels is comprised of a resiliently bendable material. Thus, each of the panels may support the back when the user bends over thereby inhibiting the user from being injured when the user bends over.
