Windshield wiper system
A windshield wiper system (3) for a windshield (1) having a curved surface and an oscillating gear drive (2) with a central park position (A). Said system (3) comprises at least one wiper arm (13) and wiper blades (5), said wiper blades (5) being mounted by means of said at least one wiper arm (13) to said oscillating gear drive (2). The windshield (1) and the wiper blade lips (11) have a frictional coefficient (). Two wiper arms (13), two wiper blades (5) each with a fit bolt (20), bearing bushes (10), a prolongation fitting (7) and a rocker (6) are provided. Said two wiper blades (5) are mounted rotatable about a wiper blade rotation axis (9), perpendicular to said oscillatory axis (V) and said longitudinal axis (U). Said wiper blade rotation axis (9) is defined by a center line through the fit bolts (20) mounted opposed to each other on said two wiper blades (5) being essentially parallel with a distance (a) to each other. Said rocker (6) rotatable attaches each of the two wiper blades (5) by means of the fit bolt (12). The prolongation fitting (7) rotatable attaches the rocker (6) to the wiper arms (13). The fit bolt (12) with the rocker (6) defines a rocker rotation axis (8) in a plane defined by said oscillatory axis (V) and said longitudinal axis (U) with an inclination angle to the outer surface of the windshield (1) in the central park position (A) providing a distance (b) direct under the wiper blades rotation axis (9) between the windshield (1) and the rocker rotation axis (8) perpendicular to the windshield (1) in the central park position (A) fulfilling
WIPER ASSEMBLY, A WINDSHIELD WIPER APPARATUS AND A METHOD OF REUSING THE WIPER ASSEMBLY
A wiper assembly includes a housing and a blade coupled to the housing. A windshield wiper apparatus includes a glass panel and the wiper assembly selectively movable relative to the glass panel. A method of reusing the wiper assembly includes the housing and the blade. The blade includes a first edge portion disposed along a first side of the blade and a second edge portion disposed along a second side of the blade. The first edge portion and the second edge portion are reversible relative to the housing such that one of the first and second edge portions is disposed in a use position and the other one of the first and second edge portions is disposed in a storage position.
Windshield wiper system
An elongated blade has an interior section and an exterior section. The interior section is adapted to be releasably coupled to a wiper arm. The exterior section has a W-shaped configuration with outer walls and inner walls. Two parallel edges are formed by the outer walls and the inner walls. The parallel edges are positioned in sliding contact with an exterior surface of a windshield during operation and use. A coupling assembly releasably couples the elongated blade to the wiper arm. The elongated blade is adapted to oscillate with respect to the wiper arm in response to a reversing of directions by the wiper arm and the elongated blade.
Surface wiper system
A surface wiper device which includes a carrier which supports a blade. The carrier attaches to a wiper arm which urges the blade against and moves the blade across the surface of a windshield. The carrier further provides a plurality of outlets each of which communicate between a hollow passage inside the carrier and a location on the external surface of the carrier. A fluid can be delivered from a fluid source fluidicly coupled to the hollow passage of the carrier under sufficient pressure to be dispersed from the plurality of outlets onto the windshield during movement of the blade. A fluid heater can be thermally coupled with the fluid delivered from the fluid source to the plurality of outlets to increase the temperature of the fluid dispersed onto the windshield. The fluid can be sufficiently heated to generate a heated gas.
WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADE WITH ADJUSTABLE LENGTH
The present invention relates to a device including a wiper blade having a length measured from a first end of the wiper blade to a second end of the wiper blade that is adjustable without removal of material of the wiper blade and a housing removably connected to the wiper blade. The present invention also relates to a method of adjusting a length of a wiper blade including providing a wiper blade having a first length and adjusting said wiper blade to have a second length different than the first length without removal of material of the wiper blade.
WIPER-BLADE INCLUDING TEXTURED SURFACE
A wiper blade includes: an elongated elastomeric body having an axial length, the body including a base and a blade projecting from the base, wherein the blade includes a blade edge on the opposite side of the body from the base; and a first set of scrubbing elements forming a first array located on a first side surface of the blade, wherein the first set of scrubbing elements includes a first plurality of scrubbing elements and a second plurality of scrubbing elements, wherein each of the first plurality of scrubbing elements is located closer to the blade edge as measured perpendicular to the axial length of the body than each of the second plurality of scrubbing elements, wherein each of the first plurality of scrubbing elements protrude a shorter height from the side surface of the blade than each of the second plurality of scrubbing elements.
WIPER BLADE WITH MICROSTRUCTURES
The present disclosure provides a wiper blade for cleaning a vehicle surface comprising an elongated, rubber-elastic wiper strip provided with respective longitudinal grooves on corresponding opposite long sides for securing to a mounting structure and with a wiper surface with an array of longitudinal microfeatures for contact with a surface wherein each microfeature is substantially rectangular in cross-section, an elongated spring-elastic mounting structure having corresponding slots and rails to engage the longitudinal grooves of the wiper strip, and a connection device for a wiper arm or handle connected to the middle portion of the mounting structure. The microfeatures replace a single wiping edge with multiple wiping edges to reduce noise, improve durability, and enable simplification of the wiper blade design. The wiper surface may have two sides that alternately contact the surface or a single side that maintains continuous contact during wiping motion in both directions.
