Aspects herein relate to a waistband construct designed to provide support to a torso area of a wearer and more specifically, a mid to lower torso area of a human wearer, (i.e. a pelvic area of a wearer). The waistband construct in accordance herein may have a multiple modulus of elasticity construction with at least one variation in modulus of elasticity along a circumference of the waistband construct. For example, the waistband construct in accordance with aspects herein may have a first portion having a first modulus of elasticity and a second portion having a second modulus of elasticity, where at least the portion having the higher modulus of elasticity may have a multiple layer construction for providing an effective support mechanism to at least a portion of the mid to lower torso area of the wearer.

A carpenter's finger sleeve assembly for protecting a carpenter's finger from being cut while scoring a surface includes a sleeve that is wearable on an end of an index finger. The sleeve is comprised of a cut resistant material to protect the end of the index finger from being cut. The sleeve is comprised of a friction inhibiting material to enhance the index finger's ability to slide along a surface. A panel is coupled to and extends laterally away from the sleeve and the panel is positioned against a blade of a knife when the sleeve is worn. In this way the panel can guide the blade along the surface for scoring the surface.

The garment comprises an inner back piece (2.2, 3.5, 4.2) being attached to both sleeves (1.2, 3.3) at the respective back seams (1.4, 4.1, 4.4). The inner back piece (2.2, 3.5, 4.2) has a length between the back seams (1.4, 4.1, 4.4) of at least 1 cm shorter than a length of the back piece (1.1, 2.3), a width between 8 cm to 20 cm and an elasticity so that the fabric can expand by a maximum of 20% of its original length so that the position of the shoulder is guided to stimulate the user to hold the shoulder blades together.
