DEVICE FOR IMPROVING WATER QUALITY
Disclosed herein is a device for improving the quality of rainwater/stormwater by removing pollutants therefrom. The device comprises a substantially cylindrical tank having an inlet for entry of liquid and an outlet for discharge of liquid. A coarse filter is provided in the tank for filtering gross pollutants from inflowing liquid, the coarse filter dividing the tank into an upstream first region/chamber and a downstream second region/chamber. A fine pollutant discharge opening is located between the coarse filter and the outlet. A valve comprising a valve member for opening and closing the fine pollutant discharge opening is configured to automatically open the fine pollutant discharge opening to discharge an initial volume of the liquid passing the coarse filter, the valve member being biased toward a configuration for closure of the opening during an inflow event. The liquid passing through opening bypasses the outlet.
Dishmachine
The present disclosure relates to a dishmachine that includes one or more features directed to water, energy or material savings. The disclosed dishmachines are still capable of meeting the soil demands of the articles to be cleaned.
Method of using a foreign object protection system
A foreign object protection system for dishwashers is disclosed. The foreign object protection system prevents large objects from damaging other components of a dishwasher. An example dishwasher for treating dishes according to a cycle of operation includes a tub at least partially defining a treating chamber for receiving utensils for treatment according to the at least one automatic cycle of operation, a sump fluidly coupled to the tub and collecting liquid supplied to the tub, a recirculation pump having an inlet fluidly coupled to the sump and an outlet fluidly coupled to the tub to recirculate liquid from the sump to the treating chamber; and a foreign object protection system comprising an inclined grate, and fluidly separating the sump and the outlet; wherein liquid in the tub collects in the sump and is recirculated by actuating the recirculation pump such that the liquid in the sump is drawn through the foreign object screen and expelled through the outlet to the tub and the foreign object screen protects the recirculation pump from harmful objects.
Gravity feed water treatment system
A portable water treatment system includes at least one sub-system to treat water including a flocculation system, a chlorination system, and a bio-sand filter system. The water treatment system may include multiple sub-systems for treating water that feed into one another. The sand filter system may include a mini bio-sand filter, a foam filter, or a pressed block filter. The flocculation system may include a tank bottom that urges settling particles toward a sump and a ladle that removes settled particles. A manual pump or siphon may be included in the water treatment system.
A PHOTOELECTROCHEMICAL CELL FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT AND METHOD OF FABRICATING THE PHOTOELECTROCHEMICAL CELL
According to the present disclosure, a photoelectrochemical cell for wastewater treatment is disclosed. A method of fabricating such a photoelectrochemical cell is also disclosed.
WASHING SYSTEMS
A washing system includes a housing, a drain line, and a recirculation line. The housing receives, via a fluid inlet, fresh water during one or more wash cycles of a wash session. The drain line is coupled to the housing and includes a valve and is also configured to receive soiled water from the housing during the wash session. The recirculation line is coupled to and extends from the valve of the drain line and is configured to receive a portion of the soiled water via the valve. The recirculation line includes an integrated fluid sanitizer module configured to at least partially sanitize the portion of the soiled water, and the recirculation line is configured to deliver sanitized water from the integrated fluid sanitizer module to the fluid inlet of the housing.
Self-clearing filter
A self-clearing filter for filtering a fluid, the self-clearing filter comprising a filter wall having a lumenous side and an external side and a pump for creating a flux of the fluid to impinge against the external side of the filter wall. Methods for filtering a fluid by diverting a portion of the fluid flux to impinge against the filter.
Method and system for remotely monitoring a group of circulating-water utilization systems
A method of remotely monitoring a group of circulating-water utilization systems comprising a plurality of circulating-water utilization systems 1, includes: an operational-ratio detection step of detecting operational ratios of treatment vessels forming a treatment-vessel row of a purifying unit 8, for each of the plurality of circulating-water utilization systems constituting the group of circulating-water utilization systems; a data transmission step of transmitting data related to the operational ratios of the treatment vessels detected in the operational-ratio detection step via a transmission line 60; a data reception step of receiving the data related to the operational ratios of the treatment vessels transmitted in the data transmission step; and a data display step of displaying the data related to the operational ratios of the treatment vessels received in the data reception step.
Dishmachine
The present disclosure relates to a dishmachine that includes one or more features directed to water, energy or material savings. The disclosed dishmachines are still capable of meeting the soil demands of the articles to be cleaned.
LIQUID WASTE TREATMENT SYSTEM
A liquid waste treatment system includes: a baffle tank subsystem for particle settling; a preprocess tank subsystem downstream of the baffle tank subsystem; a process tank subsystem downstream of the preprocess tank subsystem; and a storage tank subsystem downstream of the process tank subsystem for the storage of treated liquid. A Microbial Fuel Cell (MFC) processing module may be included and may be inserted into the preprocess tank subsystem or implemented in a second process tank downstream of the process tank subsystem. A faster disinfection may occur in the process tank subsystem, and a slower disinfection may occur in the second process tank according to distinct respective kill curves. An electrochemical cell may be operated in a pulse mode in liquid waste in a pulsed mode.
