The present disclosure relates to a biocide generating system for inhibiting bio-fouling within a water system of a watercraft. The water system is configured to draw water from a body of water on which the watercraft is supported. The biocide generating system includes an electrode arrangement adapted to be incorporated as part of an electrolytic cell through which the water of the water system flows. The water system is configured such that biocide treated water also flows to one or more components of the water system that are positioned upstream of the electrode arrangement.

METHOD FOR THE TREATMENT OF BLACK WATER

In a first aspect, the present application relates to a method for the treatment of black water, comprising the steps of: collecting black water; treating said black water in an electrocoagulation cell with iron or aluminum electrode, such that electrocoagulation effluent and electrocoagulation sludge are obtained; separating the electrocoagulation sludge from the electrocoagulation effluent; disinfecting said electrocoagulation effluent in an electro-oxidation cell with a titanium or stainless-steel electrode, obtaining disinfected effluent. In a further aspect, the current application relates to a closed toilet system.

AUTONOMOUS VESSEL FOR TREATING ALGAE BLOOMS IN RESERVOIRS, COASTAL WATERWAYS, LAKES AND RIVERS
20240217851 · 2024-07-04 ·

An autonomous water treatment system can include a vessel comprising one or more thrusters, a base, and a dome. The base and the dome can form a housing when attached to each other, and the thrusters can be configured to rotate to steer the vessel. The treatment system can include solar panels mounted on an exterior surface of the dome, and batteries disposed inside the housing. The batteries can be recharged by energy generated by the solar panels. The treatment system can include a gas infusion system disposed inside in the housing. The gas infusion system can be configured to receive a flow of water from a body of water, infuse said flow of water with oxygen, remove dissolved nitrogen from said flow of water, and return the oxygen infused water to the body of water under pressure to propel the vessel along the body of water.

System for Offshore Production of Fuel
20240217830 · 2024-07-04 ·

A method and system for the offshore production of fuel includes an offshore marine platform on which is mounted an ammonia production unit. The ammonia production unit may produce ammonia utilizing raw materials sourced adjacent the marine platform, including seawater and electricity from offshore wind turbines. The produced ammonia may be subsequently liquified and transported away from the marine platform, or conveyed to a remote location via a seabed pipeline. A portion of the hydrogen produced as part of the ammonia production process may be utilized to operate onboard combustion turbines that can in turn drive electric generators onboard the marine platform to produce electricity.

METHOD OF CHLORINATING DRINKING WATER ON A SHIP, IN PARTICULAR A PASSENGER SHIP
20190152818 · 2019-05-23 ·

A method of chlorinating drinking water on a ship with a production and distribution system includes a recirculation distribution network and device for injecting a chlorine compound generating free chlorine into the network in an injection point. A regimen set point is set for free chlorine concentration at the injection point between 0.4 and 1.2 mg/l. Free chlorine concentration is monitored proximate the injection point by a first probe. Free chlorine concentration at a point furthest from the injection point is monitored by a second probe. The chlorine compound is injected into the distribution network to maintain the free chlorine concentration at the regimen set point. Regimen chlorination is performed if the second probe does not detect free chlorine concentration variations from the regimen set or detects variations in concentration relative to the regimen set point lower than a safety limit and/or duration lower than a safety time limit.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SUPPLYING WATER TO AN AIRCRAFT
20190127086 · 2019-05-02 ·

There are described methods and systems for supplying water to an aircraft. A water supply assembly is fluidly coupled to a water storage tank via a supply line. An overflow line is fluidly coupled to the water supply assembly. One or more sensors are configured to determine an amount of water in the water storage tank. One or more processors are communicative with the one or more sensors and configured to: determine a desired amount of water to be contained in the water storage tank; determine from the one or more sensors that an amount of water in the water storage tank corresponds to the desired amount of water; and, in response to determining that the amount of water in the water storage tank corresponds to the desired amount of water, transmit an instruction for causing water being supplied from the water supply assembly to the water storage tank to be diverted to the overflow line.
