The invention relates to a process for treating a waste lye of a lye scrub using an oxidation reactor (100), the waste lye and oxygen or an oxygen-containing gas mixture being introduced into the oxidation reactor (100) and steam being introduced into the oxidation reactor (100). It is provided that the steam is at least partially introduced by means of a steam feeding device (10), which has a cylindrical section (11) with a centre axis (12) and a wall (13), the centre axis (12) being aligned perpendicularly, a number of groups of openings (14) being formed in the wall, each of the groups comprising a number of the openings (14), and the number of openings (14) of each of the groups being arranged in one or more planes (15) that is or are in each case aligned perpendicularly to the centre axis (12). A corresponding installation and also a corresponding oxidation reactor (100) are likewise the subject of the present invention.
FLUID CIRCUIT FILLING APPARATUS AND METHOD
A heating or a cooling system (102) comprising a fluid circuit (101) and apparatus (110) to supply a flow of top-up liquid to the fluid circuit (101). The apparatus (110) comprises a liquid reservoir (201) comprising an inlet port (202) connected to a liquid source (112), an outlet port (204) connected to the fluid circuit (101), and a pump (205) operable to move liquid from the liquid reservoir (201) to the outlet port (204) along a flow path. The apparatus (110) further comprises a light source (208) operable to emit ultraviolet light incident on liquid flowing from the liquid reservoir (201) to the outlet port (204) along the flow path. A method of supplying a flow of top-up liquid to the fluid circuit (101) of the heating or the cooling system (102).
Pulsed electric field for drinking water disinfection
The present subject matter is directed to water disinfection by pulsed electric field (PEF) systems. The present subject matter relates to a pulsed electric field assembly with a separator that separates and disinfects the microorganisms in drinking water. The present subject matter relates to an anti-corrosion electrode, particularly an electrode having a zeolite coating layer serving as a protector, a process for the preparation a zeolite coating on a conducting electrode substrate, and application of the zeolite coated electrode on water electrolysis and PEF systems.
MONITORING AND DOSAGE CONTROL OF TAGGED TREATMENT POLYMERS IN INDUSTRIAL WATER SYSTEMS
The present invention relates to a fluorescently-tagged (co)polymer useful as a scale inhibitor in industrial water systems. Said (co)polymer comprises a (i) reactive fluorescent compound selected from a diazole compound (ii) at least one monoethylenically unsaturated acid monomer, and (iii) optionally, at least one monoethylenically unsaturated acid-free monomer.
METHOD FOR MONITORING FLUORESCENT POLYMER ANTISCALANTS IN INDUSTRIAL WATER SYSTEMS
The present invention relates to a fluorescently-tagged (co)polymer and use thereof useful as a scale inhibitor in industrial water systems. Said (co)polymer comprises a (i) reactive fluorescent compound selected from a benzodiazole compound (ii) at least one monoethylenically unsaturated acid monomer, and (iii) optionally, at least one monoethylenically unsaturated acid-free monomer.
Vanox Hot Water Cart Conditioning Method
A conditioning system for a filter module is disclosed. The conditioning system may generally include an inlet, a heat exchanger, a magnetically levitated pump, a channel provided to bypass the heat exchanger, a controller, an outlet, and a base. The system may have components lined with corrosion-resistant materials. A method of conditioning a filter module is also disclosed. The method may generally include measuring TOC in a source of ultrapure water, heating the ultrapure water, rinsing a filter module with the heated water, flushing the filter module with ambient temperature water, and repeating the rinsing with heated water and flushing with ambient temperature water. A method of facilitating conditioning of the filter module is also disclosed. The method may generally include providing a portable filter module conditioning system and providing instructions for installation or use.
METHODS OF METERING DELIVERY OF CAUSTIC SODA FOR TREATMENT OF WATER
Described is a method for treating water with sodium hydroxide. The method can increase the accuracy of the volume of a stock sodium hydroxide solution that is delivered to the water being treated. The method can include pumping a concentrated aqueous sodium hydroxide stock solution with a diaphragm pumping system that has a two-part diaphragm assembly with a polymeric diaphragm overmolded onto a rigid insert. The polymeric diaphragm can be made of a fully-vulcanized ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber that is injection molded over the rigid insert.
Chemical dispensing system for treating fluid in boiler/cooling systems
Powered and non-powered kits for the treatment of fluid in boiler and cooling systems, both open and closed recirculating are disclosed. The kits generally include a fluid container, a fluid connector configured to engage the fluid container, a hose configured for fluid communication with the fluid connector, a port, a fluid container suspension means, and a hose end support member. The fluid container is configured to enclose chemical agents and/or solutions. The port may be formed along the fluid container and be configured to receive the fluid connector. The hose end support member may support at least one portion of the hose at a desired height above the standing fluid to be treated. In embodiments, a metering pump is included with the kits, the metering pump configured to cause a predetermined amount of the chemical agents or solutions to be dispersed from the fluid container.
