Method of making a polymer network from a polythiol and a polyepoxide
A method of making a polymer network. The method includes providing a composition including a polythiol having more than one thiol group and a polyepoxide having more than one epoxide group, applying a solution including a photolatent base catalyst to a surface of the composition, and subsequently exposing the composition to light. Upon exposure to light, the photolatent base catalyst photochemically generates a first amine and at least partially cures at least the surface of the composition to form the polymer network.
FILLED COMPOSITION CONTAINING POLYPHENYLENE SULPHIDE (PPS) AND POLYAMIDE 6 (PA6)
The present invention relates to a polymer composition (C) comprising: a polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), at least 3 wt. % of polyamide 6 (PA6), 25 to 60 wt. % of reinforcing agents, 3 to 8 wt. % of a functionalized, non-aromatic elastomer, wherein the weight ratio PPS/PA6 is at least 4 and wherein wt. % are based on the total weight of the composition. The present invention also relates to articles incorporating the polymer composition and the use of polyamide 6 (PA6) as a heat-aging stabilizer in a polymer composition.
SULFUR-CONTAINING POLY(ALKENYL) ETHERS, PREPOLYMERS INCORPORATING SULFUR-CONTAINING POLY(ALKENYL) ETHERS, AND USES THEREOF
Sulfur-containing poly(alkenyl) ethers can be incorporated into the backbone of polythioether prepolymers and can be used as curing agents in thiol-terminated polythioether prepolymer compositions. Cured sealants prepared using compositions containing sulfur-containing poly(alkenyl) ether-containing polythioether prepolymers and/or sulfur-containing poly(alkenyl) ether curing agents exhibit improved physical properties suitable for use in aerospace sealant applications.
Polyarylene sulfide resin composition, molded article, and optical ferrule

In a polyarylene sulfide resin composition containing a polyarylene sulfide resin and silica particles, a specific amount of a polyarylene sulfide resin having a melt viscosity of 35 to 80 Pa.Math.s, and a specific amount of silica particles having a lower content of coarse powders with a particle size of 45 ?m or more are employed.
CROSSLINKED POLYARYLENE SULFIDE, COMPOSITION, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING MOLDED ARTICLE
An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a crosslinked polyarylene sulfide (PAS) that reduces a difference in melt viscosity among lots and has excellent quality stability. Further specifically, the present invention provides a method for producing a crosslinked PAS including steps of compression-molding an uncrosslinked PAS in a powder form to obtain a compression-molded material, measuring a porosity of the compression-molded material, grinding the compression-molded product having a specific range of porosity to obtain a pulverized material, granulating the pulverized material to obtain a granulated material, and oxidatively crosslinking the granulated material obtained in the preceding step. Also provided are a method for producing a composition containing the crosslinked PAS, and a method for producing a molded article by melt-molding the composition.

Further specifically, the method includes steps of compression-molding an uncrosslinked PAS resin in a powder form to obtain a compression-molded material, measuring a true specific gravity of the compression-molded material, grinding the compression-molded product having a specific range of true specific gravity to obtain a pulverized material, granulating the pulverized material to obtain a granulated material, and oxidatively crosslinking the granulated material obtained in the above step. Also provided are a method for producing a composition containing the crosslinked PAS, and a method for producing a molded article by melt-molding the composition.
