Associative polymers and related compositions, methods and systems
Described herein are associative polymers capable of controlling a physical and/or chemical property of non-polar compositions and related compositions, methods and systems. Associative polymers herein described have a non-polar backbone and functional groups presented at ends of the non-polar backbone, with a number of the functional groups presented at the ends of the non-polar backbone formed by associative functional groups capable of undergoing an associative interaction with another associative functional group with an association constant (k) such that the strength of each associative interaction is less than the strength of a covalent bond between atoms and in particular less than the strength of a covalent bond between backbone atoms.
Polydentate organic ligand, preparation method and application thereof, metallo-supramolecular polymer and preparation method thereof
A polydentate organic ligand, a preparation method and an application method thereof, a metallo-supramolecular polymer and a preparation method thereof are provided. A structure of triphenylamine is combined with a structure of phenanthroline to serve as the polydentate organic ligand, which takes advantages of a large-volume distortion structure and excellent electroactivity of the triphenylamine. The polydentate organic ligands have good solubility, which provides lower-cost and diversified methods for preparing the metallo-supramolecular polymers. Meanwhile, the phenanthroline has a rigid structure and a conjugated large ? bond in its molecule, which facilitates chelating coordination with metal ions to form a stable compound. Therefore, the polydentate organic ligand enables the metallo-supramolecular polymer to have good transferability, stable electroactivity, and high conversion speed, i.e., fast response speed, excellent electrochromic cycling stability and long service lifetime.
MICRONUTRIENT COMPOSITIONS WITH SUPRAMOLECULAR STRUCTURES FOR AGRICULTURAL USE
Compositions with supramolecular structures for use in agricultural methods include a source of micronutrients such as a fertilizer, a supramolecular host chemical or a supramolecular guest chemical configured to engage in host-guest chemistry with the source of micronutrients, and a solvent. Formulations for combination with a macronutrient source are also included. Methods of treating a plant to improve nutrient assimilation or vigor include applying an agriculturally effective amount of the composition to the plant.
Isolated nanosheet and production method thereof
The present invention provides isolated nanosheets each of which includes a plurality of pseudo-polyrotaxanes and which are easily isolated without adhering to each other. The present invention provides an isolated nanosheet including a plurality of pseudo-polyrotaxanes each having one or more first cyclic molecules and a linear molecule included in a cavity or cavities of the first cyclic molecules in a skewered manner, wherein the linear molecules include, as part thereof, first linear molecules each having an ionizable group that ionizes in water or an aqueous solution.
STRUCTURE AND METHODS FOR DETECTION OF SAMPLE ANALYTES
Provided herein are structures and methods for detecting one or more analyte molecules present in a sample. In some embodiments, the one or more analyte molecules are detected using one or more supramolecular structures. In some embodiments, the supramolecular structures are configured to form a linkage with a particular capture barcode, which is configured to form a linkage with a particular capture molecule. In some embodiments the capture molecule is configured to interact with a particular analyte molecule. In some embodiments, the locations of supramolecular structures are mapped on a substrate having a plurality of binding locations, according to the capture barcode and/or another barcode linked with the supramolecular structures. In some embodiments, the linkage between the analyte molecules and supramolecular structures enable a signal to be generated. In some embodiments, the signal generated enables the identification and quantification of the analyte molecules in the sample based on the mapped location of the supramolecular structures on the substrate.
Use of Surfactants to Extract a Platinum Group Metal or Gold from Organic Compositions
The present invention is in the field of surfactants to extract a platinum group metal or gold, in particular palladium, from organic compositions. In particular, the invention concerns the use of surfactants to back-extract a platinum group metal or gold, in particular palladium, from organic compositions further comprising an extractant of said platinum group metal or gold, in particular palladium from an aqueous solution.
BLOCK COPOLYMERS AND SELF-ASSEMBLING NANOPARTICLES FORMED THEREFROM
The subject matter of this invention relates to block copolymers (BCPs) and, more particularly, to block copolymers capable of self-assembly into nanoparticles for the delivery of hydrophobic cargos. The BCPs include a hydrophobic block that contains a thioether functional group that is susceptible to oxidation, transforming the solubility of the block from hydrophobic to hydrophilic, thereby releasing the hydrophobic cargo of the nanoparticle.
