THIN FILM-SHAPED FIBER-REINFORCED RESIN AND RESIN MOLDED BODY, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
Provided is a thin film-shaped fiber-reinforced resin that can sufficiently increase the impact resistance of a coated resin molded body while suppressing the reduction in bending elastic modulus of the resin molded body. The thin film-shaped fiber-reinforced resin includes a plurality of reinforcing fibers that are arranged in a single direction alignment, and a matrix resin with which the reinforcing fibers are impregnated. The matrix resin includes a thermoplastic plastic and a thermoplastic elastomer. The content of the thermoplastic elastomer with respect to the total of the thermoplastic plastic mass and the thermoplastic elastomer mass is 5-40 mass %.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING FIBER-REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL
A method for producing a fiber-reinforced composite material containing a polyimide resin (A) having a predetermined repeating unit and a continuous reinforcing fiber (B), the method including the following steps (I) and (II) in this order: step (I): a step of laminating at least one polyimide resin (A) layer and at least one continuous reinforcing fiber (B) layer to obtain a laminated product; and step (II): a step of molding the laminated product by heating and pressurizing under a condition where a working parameter X expressed by the following expression (i) is 35 or more and 87 or less:
X=(Tp−Tm).sup.3×P.sup.1/2/1000 (i)
wherein in the expression (i), Tp represents a temperature (° C.) during the molding, Tm represents a melting point (° C.) of the polyimide resin (A), and P represents a press pressure (MPa) during the molding.

The present invention relates to a liquid composition comprising a monomer, a (meth)acrylic polymer and at least one flame-retardant substance (FD1) chosen from a phosphorus-based additive. In particular the present invention it relates to a liquid composition comprising a monomer, a (meth)acrylic polymer and at least one flame-retardant substance (FD1) chosen from a phosphorus-based additive that can be used as a syrup and especially as a syrup for impregnation and for the preparation for improving the fire resistance of a thermoplastic polymer or matrix obtained after polymerization of the syrup. Also concerned is a thermoplastic material obtained after polymerization of the liquid composition or syrup. The invention also relates to a process for manufacturing such a liquid composition or syrup. The invention also relates to a process for impregnating a fibrous substrate of long fibers with said liquid composition or syrup. The invention also relates to a fibrous substrate preimpregnated with said liquid composition or syrup which is useful for manufacturing composite parts. High performance fibers composite sheet
The invention relates to a composite sheet, and a ballistic resistant article, comprising unidirectionally aligned high performance polyethylene (HPPE) fibers and a polymeric resin, wherein said polymeric resin comprises a homopolymer or copolymer of ethylene and wherein said polymeric resin has a density as measured according to ISO1183 of between 930 and 980 kg/m3, and a peak melting temperature of from 115 to 140° C.; and said polymeric resin is present in an amount of from 5 to 25% by weight based on the total weight of the composite sheet. It further relates to a method for manufacturing a composite sheet comprising assembling HPPE fibers to a sheet, applying an aqueous suspension of a polymeric resin to the HPPE fibers, partially drying the aqueous suspension, optionally applying a temperature and/or a pressure treatment to the composite sheet.
