A sheet formed from carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin with high heat resistance, and a production method of said sheet is provided. This sheet is formed from a carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin that contains carbon fibers, dichloromethane, and a thermoplastic resin containing at least one of a polycarbonate resin and a polyarylate resin. The aforementioned at least one of a polycarbonate resin and a polyarylate resin has a constituent unit derived from a dihydric phenol represented by formula (1), and the content of the dichloromethane contained in the sheet is 10-10,000 ppm by mass. (In formula (1), R.sub.1-R.sub.4 independently represent a hydrogen, a halogen, a nitro, or a methyl group; X represents a divalent group represented by any of formulas (2) to (4).) ##STR00001##

A dry tape material for fiber placement includes a plurality of reinforcing fiber strands that satisfy (i) to (iii): (i) the reinforcing fiber strand has thicknesses T1 and T3 at both ends in a width direction of a section of the reinforcing fiber strand, and both T1 and T3 are 50 to 200% relative to a thickness T2 at a central portion of the reinforcing fiber strand, (ii) the reinforcing fiber strand has a number of filaments N and a width W that satisfy a relationship of 4.8<N/W<12, and (iii) the reinforcing fiber strand has a form kept by a first resin material having a glass transition temperature Tg or a melting point Tm of 40° C. to 200° C., the first resin material being heat-meltable, wherein the plurality of reinforcing fiber strands are bound and integrated with each other by a second resin material.

Metal-fiber-reinforced resin material composite and production method thereof

[Problem] A metal-fiber reinforced resin material composite is provided which improves the shear strength between a metallic member and a fiber reinforced material by more strongly bonding the metallic member and the fiber reinforced resin member, and which is very light and has excellent workability while increasing strength. [Solution] This metal-fiber reinforced resin material composite is provided with a metallic member and with a fiber reinforced resin material that is stacked on at least one surface of the metallic member and combined with the metallic member, wherein the fiber reinforced resin material comprises a matrix resin containing a thermoplastic resin, a reinforcing fiber material included in the matrix resin, and a resin layer interposed between the reinforcing fiber material and the metallic member and comprising a resin of the same type as the matrix resin. The shear strength of the metallic member and the fiber reinforced resin material is greater than or equal to 0.8 MPa.

Post-harvest method for natural fiber nanoparticle reinforcement using supercritical fluids

A method of forming a composite material includes disposing dried plant material, nanoparticles, and a supercritical fluid in a vessel. A cellular structure of the dried plant material expands when disposed in the supercritical fluid and the nanoparticles migrate into and are embedded within the expanded cellular structure of the disposed dried plant material. The disposed dried plant fibers with embedded nanoparticles are removed from the vessel and mixed with a polymer to form a polymer-nanoparticle mixture. A chemical additive can be added to the supercritical fluid and the chemical additive can remove at least one of hemicellulose, lignin and pectins from the dried plant material.

The dielectric layer can comprise at least one of 20 to 45 volume percent of the fluoropolymer, 15 to 35 volume percent of the plurality of boron nitride particles, 1 to 32 volume percent of the plurality of titanium dioxide particles, 10 to 35 volume percent of the plurality of silica particles, and 5 to 15 volume percent of the reinforcing layer; wherein the volume percent values are based on a total volume of the dielectric layer.

CURABLE COMPOSITION

A composition comprising a) a curable resin or prepolymer component having ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable groups, b) an ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable monomer, c) an oxidoreductase and d) at least one of an organic peroxide and hydrogen peroxide, wherein the composition comprises between 0.0 and 20.0% by weight of water, calculated on the total weight of the composition.
