Resin composition and molded body
A resin composition containing a fluorine-containing polymer and a methacrylate resin. The fluorine-containing polymer and the methacrylate resin have a mass ratio of 35/65 to 95/5. The fluorine-containing polymer contains a vinylidene fluoride unit and a tetrafluoroethylene unit. The vinylidene fluoride unit and the tetrafluoroethylene unit have a mole ratio of 81/19 to 99/1. Also disclosed is a molded article containing the resin composition.
Dual component LLDPE copolymers with improved impact and tear resistance, and methods of their preparation
Disclosed are ethylene polymer compositions containing a homogeneously-branched first ethylene polymer component and 15-35 wt. % of a homogeneously-branched second ethylene polymer component of higher density than the first ethylene polymer component. The ethylene polymer composition can be characterized by a density from 0.912 to 0.925 g/cm.sup.3, a ratio of Mw/Mn from 2 to 5, a melt index less than 2 g/10 min, and a CY-a parameter at 190° C. from 0.35 to 0.7. These polymer compositions have the excellent dart impact strength and optical properties of a metallocene-catalyzed LLDPE, but with improved machine direction tear resistance, and can be used in blown film and other end-use applications. Further, methods for improving film Elmendorf tear strength also are described.

A resin composition having a hi ah blending proportion of an inorganic substance powder that can produce a stretched sheet having an excellent elongation property and high whiteness and opacity. A resin composition for producing a stretched sheet including: a first thermoplastic resin, a second thermoplastic resin different from the first thermoplastic resin, and an inorganic substance powder, in which a mass proportion of the first thermoplastic resin and the inorganic substance powder is 50:50 to 10:90, a content of the second thermoplastic resin is 1% by mass or more and 7% by mass or less relative to a total amount of the first thermoplastic resin and the inorganic substance powder, and the second thermoplastic resin is low stereoregular polypropylene.
POLYOLEFIN RESIN MODIFIER, POLYOLEFIN RESIN COMPOSITION, MODIFIED POLYOLEFIN RESIN FILM, AND LAMINATED FILM
Polyolefin resin modifiers are provided that contain a nonionic surfactant, an organic sulfonate salt, and an inorganic salt. The organic sulfonate salt can be at least one selected from the group consisting of alkylsulfonic acid alkali metal salts whose alkyl group has 6 to 22 carbon atoms, alkylarylsulfonic acid alkali metal salts whose alkyl group has 6 to 22 carbon atoms, and sulfonic aliphatic ester alkali metal salts whose alkyl group has 6 to 22 carbon atoms. The inorganic salt can be at least one selected from the group consisting of sodium sulfate, potassium sulfate, calcium sulfate, lithium sulfate, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, lithium chloride, magnesium chloride, and calcium chloride.
Polypropylene-Polyethylene Composition with Improved Toughness
It is provided a polymer composition including at least the following components A) 70 to 97 wt.-% based on the overall weight of the polymer composition of a polymer blend, including a1) 50 to 95 wt.-% of polypropylene; a2) 5 to 50 wt.-% of polyethylene; B) 3 to 30 wt.-% based on the overall weight of the polymer composition of a copolymer of propylene and 1-hexene, including b1) 30 to 70 wt.-% of a first random copolymer of propylene and 1-hexene; and b2) 30 to 70 wt.-% of a second random copolymer of propylene and 1-hexene having a higher 1-hexene content than the first random propylene copolymer b1); with the provisos that the weight proportions of components a1) and a2) add up to 100 wt.-%; the weight proportions of components b1) and b2) add up to 100 wt.-%; component A) has a MFR.sub.2 (230° C., 2.16 kg) determined according to ISO 1133 in the range from 1.0 to 50.0 g/10 min; component B) has a 1-hexene content in the range of 2.0 to 8.0 wt.-% based on the overall weight of component B); and the polymer composition is free from plastomers being an elastomeric copolymer of ethylene and 1-octene having a density in the range from 0.860 to 0.930 g/cm.sup.3.
TRANSPARENT STATIC-DISSIPATIVE POLYCARBONATE RESIN COMPOSITION AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
A transparent static-dissipative polycarbonate (PC) resin composition includes the following components: 70-95 parts by weight of PC resin, 5-30 parts by weight of antistatic agent masterbatch and 0.5-1.5 parts by weight of a transesterification inhibitor. The antistatic agent masterbatch includes the following components by mass percentage: 40-60% of an antistatic agent, 0.5-1.6% of a transesterification accelerator, 1-3% of an assistant cross-linkinger, and the balance of PC resin. A method for preparing the transparent static-dissipative PC resin composition includes the following steps: (I) preparing the components of the transparent static-dissipative PC resin composition according to the formulation, and mixing the components evenly to obtain a premix; and (II) adding the premix into a twin-screw extruder, melting, extruding, cooling and pelletizing, to obtain a target product.
THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION FOR MILLIMETER-WAVE RADAR MEMBER, MOLDED ARTICLE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING RESIN COMPOSITION
A thermoplastic resin composition for a millimeter-wave radar member, is provided, which comprises, relative to 100 parts by mass of a polybutylene terephthalate resin (A), 15 to 65 parts by mass of a rubber-reinforced polystyrene resin (B1) and/or 10 to 70 parts by mass of a polycarbonate resin (B2) as a component (B), 0.1 to 3 parts by mass of an epoxy compound (D), and 30 to 150 parts by mass of glass fiber (E).
POLYESTER COMPOSITION AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
Provided is a polyester composition having the following physical properties. When the polyester composition is formed into a film with a thickness of 3.2 mm, the film has a light transmittance of greater than 90% in a visible spectrum in a thickness direction, and the film has an impact strength of greater than 3.50 kJ/m at −20° C.
