A facade surface covering for installation on a surface of a structure includes one or more surface elements, and the surface elements include a flexible material with a flexible polymer component and a cementitious material component.
Tape, article including tape and composite layer, and related methods
The tape incudes a water vapor-permeable air and water barrier article and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer. The air and water barrier article includes a fibrous layer having first and second major surfaces and a polymeric layer on a first major surface of the fibrous layer that penetrates into the fibrous layer but leaves at least some fibers exposed on the second major surface. The pressure sensitive adhesive layer is on the polymeric layer of the air and water barrier article. The tape can retain greater than 50 percent by weight of mortar applied according to the Vertical Mortar Receptivity Evaluation. The article includes a substrate, the tape, and a composite layer comprising at least one of gypsum, lime, or cement. The composite layer is at least one of dried or cured on the second major surface of the fibrous layer. Methods of making the article are also described.
Bonding film, and light-transmitting laminate including same
Embodiment relates to film for bonding, and a light-transmitting laminate including the same and the like, a film for bonding comprising an embossed surface, wherein the embossed surface has an A2/A1 value of 1 or less are disclosed. A film for bonding have improved in deairing stability during formation of a light transmitting laminate, an edge sealing characteristic, and the like by controlling characteristics of a embossed surface.
THIN FILM SEALING DEVICE WITH IMPROVED ADHESION TO CONCRETE
A sealing device includes a polymeric carrier layer having a first and a second major surface and a first functional layer including 25-95 wt.-% of at least one polymer P1 and 5-75 wt.-% of at least one solid filler F, wherein the polymeric carrier layer has a thickness of 10-450 m and wherein the sealing device has a mass per unit area of not more than 450 g/m.sup.2. A method produces a sealing device, and a sealing device is used as a waterproofing membrane, vapor barrier, vapor retarder, gas barrier membrane, volatile organic compound (VOC) barrier membrane, or as a geomembrane.
Fastener Seals
The present disclosure describes systems and techniques for sealing over fasteners coupled to exterior building enclosures, including discrete adhesive patches, as well as various dispenser systems thereof. In some examples, a system includes a system for sealing over fastener heads coupled to one or more building enclosure layers, the system comprising an elongated release liner wrapped into a cylindrical roll. In some examples, the system includes a plurality of circular fastener patches distributed longitudinally along the release liner, each fastener patch comprising. According to some embodiments, the plurality of circular fastener patches includes a conformable air-tight and water-tight film layer. The plurality of circular fastener patches may include a pressure-sensitive and hydrophobic adhesive layer disposed between the film layer and the release liner.
MEMBRANES COMPRISING A THERMALLY CURED ADHESIVE
Disclosed is an adhesive composition comprising an acrylic resin and an oligomeric resin having a reactive group and methods for making and using the adhesive composition in roofing membranes. The adhesive composition is thermally cured to form an adhesive layer. The adhesive composition may be applied to a membrane, such as a single-ply membrane, and then thermally cured. The single-ply membrane may then be adhered, via the adhesive layer, to a substrate, such as a roofing substrate.
STRUCTURE PROTECTION SHEET AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING REINFORCED STRUCTURE
Provided is a structure protection sheet that allows for significant shortening of the work period required to place the protection sheet on the surface of a structure such as a concrete structure, that can protect the structure over a long period of time, and that further has excellent strength properties. The structure protection sheet is a sheet to be attached to the surface of a structure and includes, in order, a bonding layer, a polymer-cement hardened layer, and a resin layer.
Building envelope
This invention relates to a building envelope (100) comprising a fire resistant tape (20) and a fire resistant barrier material (10), wherein the fire resistant tape (20) seals a seam between a first sheet (10a) of the fire resistant barrier material and a second sheet (10b) of the fire resistant barrier material, wherein the fire resistant barrier material (10) comprises a metallic layer (13), a support layer (15) and a glue layer (14) between the metallic layer (13) and the support layer (15), and the fire resistant tape comprises a metallic layer (23), a support layer (25), a glue layer (24) between the metallic layer (23) and the support layer (25), and an acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive coating layer (28) on the support layer (25). This invention further relates to a fire resistant seam tape.
