Pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet
The present invention relates to a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition including a compound having a substituent represented by the general formula (1) described in the specification, in which when each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 in the substituent represented by the general formula (1) represents a hydrogen atom, a distance between an oxygen atom of OR.sup.1 and an oxygen atom of OR.sup.2 is 1.31 or more and 4.70 or less, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed of the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet comprising the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer.
Partially cured coated sheet
A sheet includes a support layer and a coating layer on a side of the support layer. The coating layer is partially cured. The coating layer has carbon-carbon double bonds. The relative amount of carbon-carbon double bonds is higher at the surface of the coating layer than at the contact surface of the coating layer with the support layer. Methods are disclosed to manufacture such sheets; and to produce a decorative panel using such sheets.
Adhesive formulations for roofing applications and related methods
Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an adhesive formulation comprising a high viscosity silyl modified polymer. In some embodiments, the adhesive formulation may further comprise additional components, such as but not limited to, at least one moisture scavenger, at least one adhesion promoter, at least one catalyst, at least one filler, at least one plasticizer, at least one antioxidant, or any combination thereof. In some embodiments, the adhesive formulation may exclude a low viscosity polymer. In some embodiments, the adhesive formulation may include a low viscosity polymer in no more than a specified amount. At least one method of using the adhesive formulation and at least one roofing system comprising the adhesive formulation are also described herein.
Adhesives for low surface energy materials
A roofing system includes a roofing membrane. The roofing membrane has a surface energy of 40 mN/m or less. The roofing system includes a roofing substrate. The roofing system includes an adhesive disposed between the roofing membrane and the roofing substrate. The adhesive includes a styrenic block copolymer. The styrenic block copolymer is present in an amount of 0.5 wt. % to 30 wt. % based on a total weight of the adhesive. The adhesive includes asphalt. The asphalt is present in an amount of 70 wt. % to 99.5 wt. % based on the total weight of the adhesive. A ratio of the styrenic block copolymer to the asphalt in the adhesive is 1:11 to 1:3.
Adhesive tapes and methods of use in construction
An adhesive tape and methods of use in cold or hot environments, such as in the construction industry, wherein the adhesive tape includes a pressure sensitive adhesive layer (preferably, an acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive layer) disposed on a backing (preferably, a multilayer backing).
SPRAYABLE ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS
Sprayable adhesive compositions are provided. A sprayable adhesive composition comprises at least one propellant, at least one solvent, and at least 50% by weight of solids based on a total weight of the solids and the at least one solvent. The solids comprise at least one polymer and at least one tackifier. Methods of installation, roofing systems, and various other related systems and related methods are provided.
BUTENE-CONTAINING POLYMER LAYERS FOR ROOFING APPLICATIONS
Butene-containing polymer layers for roofing applications are provided. A roofing material comprises a first layer and an adhesive layer. The first layer comprises a thermoplastic polymer. The first layer comprises 0.01% to 35% by weight of a butene-containing polymer based on a total weight of the first layer. When the roofing material is installed on a roofing substrate, the adhesive layer is located between the first layer and the roofing substrate. Related materials, related systems, and related methods, among other things, are also provided.
Double pass process of making a self adhering roofing membrane with improved adhesion at lower installation temperature
A self-adhering roofing membrane may include a polymeric membrane. The roofing membrane may include a first adhesive layer disposed on a major surface of the polymeric membrane. The first adhesive layer may include one or both of a hot melt adhesive and a butyl rubber-based adhesive. The roofing membrane may include a UV curable adhesive layer disposed on the first adhesive layer. The UV curable adhesive layer may have a thickness of less than about 4 mils.
Article for use with glass surface
An article including a multilayer stack and an adhesive layer is provided. The multilayer stack includes a substrate layer, a first layer, a second layer, a third layer and a fourth layer. The first layer is disposed adjacent to the substrate layer. The first layer includes nichrome. The second layer is disposed adjacent to the first layer opposite to the substrate layer. The second layer includes aluminum. The third layer is disposed adjacent to the second layer opposite to the first layer. The third layer includes a first metal oxide. The fourth layer is disposed adjacent to the third layer opposite to the second layer. The fourth layer includes a second metal oxide different from the first metal oxide. The adhesive layer is disposed adjacent to the fourth layer opposite to the third layer. The adhesive layer includes an adhesive for attaching the multilayer stack to a glass surface.
