Marine engine lubrication
A low S marine fuel trunk piston diesel engine lubricant includes an overbased metal detergent; a zinc dihydrocarbyl dithiophosphate; optionally an aminic antioxidant; and a borated ashless dispersant. The lubricant exhibits improved thermal and oxidative stability and improved high temperature detergency.
BASIC ASHLESS ADDITIVES AND LUBRICATING COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING SAME
The disclosed technology relates to a lubricating composition comprising an oil of lubricating viscosity and an ashless basic amine additive selected from a N-aralkyl α-carbonyl functional amine. The basic amine additives used in the lubricating oils of the disclosed technology impart basicity measured as total base number (TBN) without adding sulfated ash. Lubricating oils containing the basic amine additives of the disclosed technology simultaneously achieve seal compatibility, deposit, and corrosion control.

Stabilized lubricant composition for continuous casting processes
Described herein is a stabilized lubricant composition for use in steel casting, in particular in continuous casting processes. In particular, the lubricant composition for processes for producing steel by continuous casting includes a dispersion of a lubricant powder, for an ingot mold, in continuous casting, in an oily liquid means, and a stabilization additive, characterized in that it has the following shear thinning index values: TABLE-US-00001 RVT 0.1/1 1/10 10/100 100/1000 STI 3.0-7.5 2.0-6.5 1.0-3.0 0.5-2.0 wherein RVT is the ratio between two different shear speeds and STI is the shear thinning index corresponding to the RVT values.
Lubricating oil composition and production method therefor
The present invention relates to a lubricating oil composition to be used for internal combustion engines, the lubricating oil composition containing a base oil (A), an imide compound (B) that is at least one selected from a succinic acid monoimide (B1) represented by the general formula (b-1) and a succinic acid bisimide (B2) represented by the foregoing general formula (b-2), a metal-based detergent (C) that is at least one selected from a metal sulfonate (C1) having a branched alkyl group and a metal phenate (C2) having a branched alkyl group, and a zinc dithiophosphate (D), wherein the content of a phosphorus atom derived from the component (D) is less than 800 ppm by mass on the basis of the total amount of the lubricating oil composition; and a method for producing the same. The present invention is able to provide a lubricating oil composition in which even in the case where the content of a phosphorus atom derived from an anti-wear agent is reduced, it is possible to reveal excellent wear resistance in an internal combustion engine and a high friction coefficient in a wet clutch; and a method for producing the same.
Coolant for composite materials
The present invention concerns a coolant, present as an emulsion in the form of a concentrate, for machining fiber-reinforced plastics and material combinations containing fiber-reinforced plastics and metals; furthermore, the present invention also concerns a coolant, present as a solution in the form of concentrate, for machining fiber-reinforced plastics.
LUBRICANT COMPOSITION
A lubricant composition for a compression-ignition internal combustion engine includes an amine and a detergent selected from metal sulfonates, phenates, salicylates, carboxylates, thiophosphonates, and combinations thereof. The lubricant composition has a TBN of from about 10 to about 100 mg KOH/g when tested according to ASTM D2896. The amine contributes from about 0.1 to about 28% of the TBN of the lubricant composition. Further, a method of lubricating an internal combustion engine with the lubricant composition includes the steps of injecting a fuel and the lubricant composition into a cylinder to form a mixture, and combusting the mixture via compression-ignition.
DINUCLEAR MOLYBDENUM COMPLEX AND USE OF SAME IN LUBRICATING COMPOSITIONS
The present invention relates to a dinuclear molybdenum complex with ligands selected from fatty tertiary amines of formula (I):

wherein R represents a linear or branched alkyl comprising 3 to 30 carbon atoms, preferably 3 to 20, advantageously 7 to 17 carbon atoms; n, identical or different, represents 2 or 3; R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, identical or different, represent an O, OR, NR′.sub.2, COOR′, or COO group, where R′, identical or different, represents a hydrogen atom or an alkaline or alkaline earth metal, preferably R′ is H, preferably R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, identical or different, represent an OH or NH.sub.2 group.
Additive composition for hydraulic fluids or heat transfer fluids
An additive composition for a hydraulic fluid, or a heat transfer fluid, comprises one or more phosphate esters derived from the esterification of phosphoric acid and one or more monomer glycols containing up to 18 carbon atoms, or combinations thereof. In addition, the additive composition may comprise one or more corrosion inhibitors selected from the group consisting of dicarboxylic acids, alkanolamines or combinations thereof; one or more antioxidants including selected from the group consisting of one or more organosulfur compounds, one or inorganic oxyanion salts or combinations thereof; and, one or more surfactants.
Lubricating oil composition
Provided is a lubricating oil composition containing a mineral base oil (A) having a temperature gradient Δ|Dt| of a distillation temperature between two points of a distillation amount of 2.0% by volume and a distillation amount of 5.0% by volume in a distillation curve of 6.8° C./% by volume or less, and an antioxidant (B) containing an amine-based antioxidant (B1), a phenol-based antioxidant (B2), and a phosphorus-based antioxidant (B3), wherein the content of the component (B3) is 0.06 to 1.0% by mass based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition. The lubricating oil composition is a long-life lubricating oil composition that maintains excellent oxidation stability even for long-term use in a high-temperature environment, and has a high effect of suppressing the generation of sludge for a long period of time.
