MOTOR OIL BLENDS VOID OF ZPPD AND METHODS FOR REDUCING ENGINE WEAR VIA MOTOR OIL BLENDS VOID OF ZPPD
An environmentally-improved motor oil blend and related methods for properly lubricating components of an engine and favorably modifying a plastic response of components of the engine, the blend being free of zinc di-alkyl-di-thiophosphates (ZDDP) and free of zinc di-thiophosphate (ZDTP), comprising: a motor oil selected from the motor oil group consisting of Group I, Group II, Group III, Group IV, and Group V motor oils; a motor oil additive comprising alpha-olefins and hydroisomerized hydro-treated severe hydrocracked base oil; ZDDP omitted from the chemical constituents of the motor oil; and ZDTP omitted from the chemical constituents of the motor oil.
Lubricating composition
A hydraulic lubricating oil composition is provided which contains a synergistic mixture of three phosphorous antiwear components in order to provide good thermal stability and good demulsibility to the lubricating oil composition.
LUBRICANT COMPOSITIONS
A method for improving corrosion protection and friction coefficient in an engine or other mechanical component lubricated with a lubricating oil by using as the lubricating oil a formulated oil. The formulated oil has a composition comprising a lubricating oil base stock as a major component, and a mixture of (i) at least one organic molybdenum compound, and (ii) at least one borated ester, as a minor component. Corrosion protection and friction coefficient are improved as compared to corrosion protection and friction coefficient achieved using a lubricating oil containing a minor component other than the mixture of (i) at least one organic molybdenum compound, and (ii) at least one borated ester.
Motor Oil Blend and Method for Reducing Wear on Steel and Eliminating ZDDP in Motor Oils by Modifying the Plastic Response of Steel
MARINE DIESEL LUBRICATING COMPOSITION
The invention provides a method of lubricating a 2-stroke marine diesel cylinder liner with a lubricating composition having a total base number of 10 to 25 mg KOH/g. The invention further provides a lubricating composition for lubricating the 2-stroke marine diesel cylinder liner.
Composition of high performance bearing oil for steel plants
The present invention relates to a Zinc free High Performance bearing oil composition for Lubrication of Bearings, Gears & Allied Equipments in Wire Rod Mill (WRM) for Steel Plants.
Lubricants for Use in Boosted Engines
A lubricating oil composition and method of operating a boosted internal combustion engine. The lubricating oil composition includes greater than 50 wt. % of a base oil of lubricating viscosity, calcium, nitrogen, molybdenum and boron. The weight ratio of Ca:N (ppm/ppm) in the lubricating oil composition is greater than 1.3 to less than 3.0, the weight ratio of Ca:Mo (ppm/ppm) in the lubricating oil composition is greater than 6.7 to less than 56.3, and the weight ratio of Ca:B (ppm/ppm) in the lubricating oil composition is greater than 5.0 to less than 9.8. The lubricating oil composition does not contain added magnesium from a magnesium-containing detergent. The lubricating oil composition is resistant to deposit formation in the boosted internal combustion engine, as shown by its ability to ensure a TCO Temperature Increase of less than 9.0% as measured using the 2015 version of the General Motors dexos1® Turbocharger Coking Test.
Rolling bearing
A rolling bearing that can prevent peeling on a surface of an iron-based metal member by hydrogen brittleness even under a severe environment is provided. The rolling bearing 1 has plural bearing elements formed of an iron-based metal, and a lubricant composition 7 that lubricates metal contact surfaces of the respective bearing elements, the lubricant composition 7 is a grease containing a base oil and alkanolamine and being free of alkali metal salts and alkaline earth metal salts of inorganic acids, the base oil is at least one oil selected from alkyl diphenyl ether oils, poly-α-olefin oils and ester oils, and the alkanolamine is contained by 0.1 to 10 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the total amount of the base oil and a thickener.
Lubricant oil composition
Provided is a lubricating oil composition containing a base oil (A) and an amine-based antioxidant (B), wherein the component (B) contains a phenyl-naphthylamine (B1), an alkylphenyl-naphthylamine (B2) and a di(alkylphenyl)amine (B3), the content of the component (B1) is 2.0 to 10.0% by mass relative to 100% by mass of the total amount of the component (B), the content of the component (B2) is 40.0 to 90.0% by mass relative to 100% by mass of the total amount of the component (B), and the content of the component (B3) is 8.0 to 50.0% by mass relative to 100% by mass of the total amount of the component (B).
