An encapsulated laundry cleaning composition includes a core cleaning composition and a water-soluble film disposed about the core cleaning composition. The core cleaning composition itself includes a detergent and a solvent system. The solvent system includes an ionic liquid and water. The water-soluble film has a disintegration time of less than 90 seconds as determined at 40? C. using distilled water according to MSTM 205, when disposed about the core cleaning composition.

A liquid hand dishwashing detergent composition includes from about 5.0% to about 50% by weight of the liquid hand dishwashing detergent composition of a surfactant system, wherein the surfactant system comprises anionic surfactant; and from about 0.01% to about 5% of a cationic polyvinyl alcohol, wherein the cationic polyvinyl alcohol comprises on average less than about 1.0 mol % of hydrophobic monomers.

A method of cleaning dishes includes delivering the composition to a volume of water to form a wash solution; and immersing the dishware in the wash solution.

A liquid hand dishwashing detergent composition includes a quaternised acrylic copolymer, and from about 5.0% to about 50% by weight of the liquid hand dishwashing detergent composition of a surfactant system. The surfactant system includes at least about 40% by weight of the surfactant system of an anionic surfactant; and greater than about 3.0% by weight of the liquid hand dishwashing detergent composition of an alkoxylated alcohol nonionic surfactant.

A liquid hand dishwashing detergent composition includes a quaternised acrylic copolymer, and from 5.0% to 50% by weight of the liquid hand dishwashing detergent composition of a surfactant system. The surfactant system includes anionic surfactant; and co-surfactant selected from the group consisting of amphoteric surfactant, zwitterionic surfactant, and mixtures thereof. The anionic surfactant and co-surfactant are present in a weight ratio of less than about 1.5:1.

The invention describes to compositions useful to stabilize peracetic acid, acetic acid and hydrogen peroxide compositions with polymeric phosphonic acid resins or with 1-hydroxyethylidene-1,1,-diphosphonic acid associated with the interior surface of a container to stabilize the peracetic acid, acetic and hydrogen peroxide compositions.

APE-free laundry emulsifier

A detergent emulsifier for laundry and other hard surface cleaning using an APE-free surfactant blend is disclosed. The emulsifier system is efficacious for removal of oily soils and greasy food removal. The compositions according to the invention include linear and branched fatty alcohol ethoxylates and ethoxylate propoxylate block copolymers. Methods of using the same are disclosed.

Rinse aid compositions, methods of use, and methods of making said composition are disclosed. The rinse aid compositions can be solid or liquid. The rinse aid compositions comprise a defoamer, a sheeting agent, and a terpolyer of of maleic, vinyl acetate, and ethyl acrylate. Preferred sheeting agents include one or more alcohol ethyoxylates. Preferred defoamer components include a polymer compound including one or more ethylene oxide groups. The solid rinse aid compositions are preferably substantially free of sulfate and sulfate-containing compounds.

The invention relates to a compound prepared by (i) reacting (a) at least one compound selected from diisocyanate, polyisocyanate, or mixture thereof; (b) at least one isocyanate-reactive compound selected from a fluorinated alcohol; a cyclic or acyclic sugar alcohol which is substituted with at least one R.sup.1, C(O)R.sup.1, (CH.sub.2CH.sub.2O).sub.n(CH(CH.sub.3)CH.sub.2O).sub.mR.sup.2, (CH.sub.2CH.sub.2O).sub.n(CH(CH.sub.3)CH.sub.2O).sub.mC(O)R.sup.1, or mixtures thereof; or mixtures of a fluorinated alcohol and a substituted cyclic or acyclic sugar alcohol; and (c) at least one isocyanate-reactive ethylenically unsaturated compound; wherein each n is independently 0 to 20; each m is independently 0 to 20; m+n is greater than 0; each R.sup.1 is independently a linear or branched alkyl group having 5 to 29 carbons optionally comprising at least 1 unsaturated bond; each R.sup.2 is independently H, or a linear or branched alkyl group having 6 to 30 carbons optionally comprising at least 1 unsaturated bond, or mixtures thereof; and (ii) reacting the reaction product of step (i) with a bisulfate source.
