A flowable washing agent preparation containing, based on the total weight thereof, i) 20 to 80 wt. % surfactant; ii) 2 to 15 wt. % fatty acid; iii) 5 to 25 wt. % organic solvent; iv) 0.3 to 8 wt. % of a salt of a divalent cation; v) less than 20 wt. % water, and washing methods using this preparation.

Home Care Compositions

Described herein are home care compositions (e.g., aqueous liquid compositions), which may be used as a hand dishwashing composition, comprising laureth sulfate having 1 moiety or less of an ethylene oxide group, alkyl aryl sulfonate, a blend of C.sub.9-11 branched primary alcohols, and an amine oxide or betaine amphoteric surfactant. Methods of making and using these compositions are also described.

COMPOSITION

A laundry liquid composition in a container, the composition comprising a surfactant, said surfactant comprising C18 alkyl-containing anionic or non-ionic surfactant, a free fragrance and wherein the container comprises at least 50% wt. post-consumer recycled resin (PCR) comprising polyolefin or polyester.

Cleaning Formulations for Chemically Sensitive Individuals: Compositions and Methods
20230121786 · 2023-04-20 ·

The present disclosure relates to cleaning compositions in general, and cleaning compositions that are well suited for use by individuals, who experience adverse health effects that may occur upon exposure to certain chemicals. This condition, characterized as multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS), makes it virtually impossible for certain individuals to use commercially available cleaning products without inducing immunological responses. The disclosure presents and describes protocols for the formulation and evaluation of a variety of cleaning products and dilutable cleaning product concentrates using a combination of .sup.14C assay, head space analysis and screening of both ingredients and final products for governmentally-regulated materials. The methods and compositions newly presented herein avoid causing adverse health responses in individuals and are suitable for use by any person, particularly individuals who experience MCS.

Method of Simultaneously Maximizing the Mildness and Cleaning Performance of a Liquid Dishwashing Composition

A method of simultaneously maximizing the mildness and cleaning performance of a liquid dishwashing composition includes the steps of: A. forming the composition that has a pH of greater than about 7 and up to about 11, that comprises sodium laureth sulfate, an amine oxide, and optionally cocamidopropyl betaine, and that is substantially free of sodium lauryl sulfate; and B. subjecting a sample of the composition to a Zein test, a corneosurfametry (CSM) test, and an in vitro cytokine release test for IL-1α response, respectively,

wherein the sample exhibits a Zein score of from about 0.1 to about 2.5, a CSM test value of from about 10 to about 35, and a cytokine release test value of from about 100 to about 600.
