CORDLESS CURLING IRON AND WAND
A cordless hair care appliance easily convertible between a curling wand and a curling iron. The appliance features a removable clamp formed as a ring portion and hinged clamp, where the ring portion slidably fits onto the barrel of the curling wand. The appliance has an enlarged diameter portion at the interface between the barrel and a main body. The removable clamp is friction fit to the barrel when slid into place at the interface. The appliance may operate by battery alone or using battery plus a DC current supplied by a corded AC adaptor. An internal processing unit manages power usage and determines whether the device is operating in battery mode or corded mode.
DEVICE FOR TREATING THE HAIR, AND RELATED METHOD
The invention concerns a device (10) for treating the hair, comprising two arms (12, 4) that are able to move relative to one another between a first opened configuration for inserting hair between the arms (12, 14) and a second closed configuration for treating the hair, at least one of the arms (12, 14) comprising: a shell, a support housed in said shell, a treatment plate supported by the support, an electrical heating element received in a housing defined between the support and an inner face of the treatment plate, a first sealing element sandwiched between the support and the treatment plate, a second sealing element, wherein the second sealing element is sandwiched between the support and the shell.
Hair Styling Device for Curling or Waving Hair and Method for Operating Such a Hair-Styling Device
A hair-styling device serves to curl or wave hair. Said hair-styling device comprises two styling bodies 5, 5.1, which interact with each other to style the hair and can be rotated about the longitudinal axis of the styling bodies and of which at least one of the styling bodies 5, 5.1 is driven, which styling bodies 5, 5.1 have a shell surface contoured by elevations and recesses and are arranged in relation to each other in such a way that complementary contours of the two styling bodies 5, 5.1 mesh in the course of rotation of the two styling bodies. The styling bodies 5, 5.1 have a bone-shaped cross-sectional geometry having two head sections 7, 7.1 designed with a shell surface 8 that is convexly rounded at least in some sections and having a tapered central section 6 located between the head sections and designed with a concave shell surface. The radius of curvature in the region of the central apex 9 of the head sections 7, 7.1 of the one styling body 5, 5.1, 5.2 corresponds to the radius of curvature of the tapered central section 6 of the other styling body. The axis of rotation 11, 11.1 of the styling bodies (5, 5.1) is arranged in the central section 6 centrally between the central apexes 9 of the head sections 7, 7.1.
