A coating-substrate combination includes: a Ni-based superalloy substrate comprising, by weight percent: 2.0-5.1 Cr; 0.9-3.3 Mo; 3.9-9.8 W; 2.2-6.8 Ta; 5.4-6.5 Al; 1.8-12.8 Co; 2.8-5.8 Re; 2.8-7.2 Ru; and a coating comprising, exclusive of Pt group elements, by weight percent: Ni as a largest content; 5.8-9.3 Al; 4.4-25 Cr; 3.0-13.5 Co; up to 6.0 Ta, if any; up to 6.2 W, if any; up to 2.4 Mo, if any; 0.3-0.6 Hf; 0.1-0.4 Si; up to 0.6 Y, if any; up to 0.4 Zr, if any; up to 1.0 Re, if any.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN OXYHYDRIDE-BASED PHOTOCHROMIC DEVICE
The present invention relates to a method for producing a photochromic oxy-hydride material as well as a photochromic component. The method comprising the steps of: —first the formation on a substrate of a layer of an essentially oxygen free rare earth metal hydride with a predetermined thickness using a physical vapor deposition process; and—second exposing the metal hydride layer to oxygen where the oxygen reacts with the metal hydride, said second step being performed in an environment having a water content defined by a water amount in air at sea level pressure with RH between >0% and 100% RH for temperatures between 0° C. and 40° C., preferably 25° Celsius.
Metal Circuit Structure Based on FPC and Method of Making the Same
A metal circuit structure based on a flexible printed circuit (FPC) contains: a substrate, a first metal layer attached on the substrate, a second metal layer formed on the first metal layer, and an intermediate layer defined between the first metal layer and the second metal layer. A first surface of the intermediate layer is connected with the first metal layer, and a second surface of the intermediate layer is connected with the second metal layer. The intermediate layer is made of a first material, the second metal layer is made of a second material, and the first material of the intermediate layer does not act with the second material of the second metal layer.
FABRICATION OF LOW DEFECTIVITY ELECTROCHROMIC DEVICES
Prior electrochromic devices frequently suffer from high levels of defectivity. The defects may be manifest as pin holes or spots where the electrochromic transition is impaired. This is unacceptable for many applications such as electrochromic architectural glass. Improved electrochromic devices with low defectivity can be fabricated by depositing certain layered components of the electrochromic device in a single integrated deposition system. While these layers are being deposited and/or treated on a substrate, for example a glass window, the substrate never leaves a controlled ambient environment, for example a low pressure controlled atmosphere having very low levels of particles. These layers may be deposited using physical vapor deposition.
COATED TOOL
A coated tool of the present invention includes a base material and a hard coating film on the base material. The hard coating film is a nitride or carbonitride containing aluminum (Al) of 65 atomic % or more 90 atomic % or less, titanium (Ti) of 10 atomic % or more 35 atomic % or less, a total of aluminum (Al) and titanium (Ti) of 85 atomic % or more, and argon (Ar) of 0.20 atomic % or less. The hard coating film satisfies a relationship of Ih×100/Is≤12 when a peak intensity of a (010) plane of AlN of a hexagonal close-packed structure is Ih and a sum of peak intensities due to predetermined nine crystal planes of TiN and AlN is Is in an intensity profile obtained from a selected area diffraction pattern of a transmission electron microscope.
FILM FORMING APPARATUS AND FILM FORMING METHOD
A film forming apparatus comprising: a processing container for accommodating a plurality of substrates, a substrate holder provided in the processing container and configured to hold the substrates such that the plurality of substrates are arranged along a circumferential direction; a rotating and revolving mechanism configured to rotate the plurality of substrates on the substrate holder and revolve the plurality of substrates on the substrate holder along the circumferential direction; and a sputtered particle emitting mechanism configured to emit sputtered particles to the plurality of substrates held by the substrate holder. Sputtering film formation is performed by emitting the sputtered particles from the sputtered particle emitting mechanism while rotating and revolving the plurality of substrates held by the substrate holder using the rotating and revolving mechanism.
COATED CUTTING TOOL
A coated cutting tool and a process for the production thereof id provided. The coated cutting tool consists of a substrate body of WC-Co based cemented carbide and a coating, the coating including a first (Ti,Al)N multilayer, a first gamma-aluminium oxide layer, and a set of alternating second (Ti,Al)N multilayers and second gamma-aluminium oxide layers.

The electrochromic device includes a first transparent substrate, a first transparent conductive layer, an ion storage layer, an ion transfer layer, an electrochromic layer, a second transparent conductive layer, and a second transparent substrate which are sequentially stacked, where the first transparent conductive layer includes at least two first conductive portions, the second transparent conductive layer includes at least two second conductive portions, and an extension direction of the at least two first conductive portions and an extension direction of the at least two second conductive portions are configured to intersect with each other.

Method for manufacturing an electrolyte for solid oxide cells by magnetron cathode sputtering
A method of manufacturing by magnetron cathode sputtering an electrolyte film for use in solid oxide cells (SOC). This method comprises the steps consisting of heating a substrate to a temperature ranging from 200° C. to 1200° C.; followed by subjecting the substrate to at least two treatment cycles, each treatment cycle comprising: 1) depositing one layer of a metal precursor on the substrate by magnetron cathode sputtering of a target made up of the metal precursor, the sputtering being carried out under elemental sputtering conditions; followed by 2) oxidation-crystallisation of the metal precursor forming the layer deposited on the substrate in the presence of oxygen to obtain the transformation of the metal precursor into the electrolyte material; and in that the substrate is kept at a temperature ranging from 200° C. to 1200° C. for the entire duration of each treatment cycle.
