Process and facility for the treatment of livestock waste
The invention provides an efficient system for treating livestock waste, particularly waste from cattle or pig farming. The new facility and method employ special transfers of slurry streams through ASBR, SBR, and a unique pretreatment reactor, resulting in treated water, quality compost, and biogas.
ANAEROBIC DIGESTION SYSTEM AND METHOD
An anaerobic digestion system may include a material grinding/pulping portion, a hydrolysis portion arranged downstream of the grinding portion, a multiple chamber anaerobic reactor arranged downstream from the hydrolysis portion and including a gas collection and reintroduction system, a collection system for collecting digestate and gas from the anaerobic reactor.
Bioreactor for treating sewage and sewage treatment system comprising the same
Disclosed is a bioreactor for treating sewage comprising an aerobic tank including a mixing cell for receiving sewage to be supplied from an inlet and mixing the sewage with activated sludge and an aerobic reactor tank in which the activated sludge adsorbs organic substance existing in the sewage; a backwashing cartridge filter for removing floc resulting from growth of the activated sludge adsorbing the organic substance; and an anaerobic tank for carrying out a denitrification process for denitrifying treated water flowed through the backwashing cartridge filter using anaerobic ammonium oxidation (anammox) bacteria wherein the backwashing cartridge filter allows the sewage discharged from the aerobic tank to pass through the cartridge filter and separates the floc and the treated water using difference in size between the floc contained in the sewage and pores in the cartridge filter, and wherein foreign matter adsorbed on the cartridge filter is easily removed by means of washing water to be injected into the cartridge filter.
ANAEROBIC SEQUENCING BATCH REACTOR COVER
There is provided herein a roof for a reactor vessel that utilizes a weighted floating cover. The cover is free to move up and down within the vessel as the fluid level changes during the operational cycle. In some embodiment, the cover itself is not directly connected to the reactor vessel or its sidewall, but instead is held in place and supported from above by truss-like support members that permit movement of the cover in concert with the changing fluid level in the vessel. In an embodiment, the support members are anchored proximate to the top of the reactor vessel.
Method for controlling a treatment apparatus arrangement, a treatment apparatus arrangement for a treatment plant as well as a treatment plant
A method for controlling a treatment apparatus arrangement in a treatment plant, the treatment plant including a basin housing a liquid and solid matter. The operating condition in the basin is anoxic and/or anaerobic, and the treatment apparatus arrangement includes at least one mixer machine located in the basin and a variable speed drive operatively connected to the mixer machine. The variable speed drive operates the mixer machine alternately in a Normal Operation Mode, in which an operational speed of the mixer machine is at least the greater of a suspension speed and a process speed, and a Reduced Operation Mode, in which the operational speed of the mixer machine is below the suspension speed. Also described is a treatment apparatus arrangement and a treatment plant, respectively.
Efficient operation of an anaerobic-aerobic SBR
A method for the efficient operation of a waste treatment apparatus comprising an anaerobic-aerobic sequencing batch reactors (SBR). The method comprises the synchronized transfer of waste between the reactors, for preventing unsafe buildup of pressure in the anaerobic reactor and reaching unsafe levels.
Internal sulfur cycling SANI (ISC-SANI) process for biological wastewater treatment
A method of removing organic carbon in biological wastewater treatment includes the steps of: (a) oxidizing organic carbon to carbon dioxide with elemental sulfur as an electron carrier, and reducing the elemental sulfur to sulfide; (b) oxidizing the sulfide to elemental sulfur by recycled nitrate through controlling one or more of a recycling ratio to maintain an oxidation reduction potential (ORP) within the range of 360 mv to 420 mv, using an auto ORP controller; (c) recycling the elemental sulfur formed during oxidation of the sulfide back to the oxidation of the organic carbon; and (d) oxidizing ammonium to nitrate then partially recycled back for sulfide oxidation.
PLANT FOR THE PURIFICATION OF WASTE AND/OR PROCESS WATER BY MEANS OF ANAEROBIC MICROORGANISMS WITH A REACTOR TANK AND AN EXTERNAL SEPARATION APPARATUS
A plant for the anaerobic purification of waste and/or process water comprising: i) a reactor tank with at least one feed line for supplying waste and/or process water into tank and with at least one outflow line for draining a mixture of microorganisms, waste and/or process water and gas from the tank, ii) a first separation apparatus outside and downstream of the tank for separating at least a part of the microorganisms from the mixture from the tank, wherein the first separation apparatus comprises at least one separation stage, an inlet line connected with at least one of the outflow line(s), at least one discharge line and at least one outlet line, and iii) a return line for returning the separated sludge separated into the reactor tank, wherein the return line connects with at least one of the at least one outlet line of the first separation apparatus.
